Renault doing their usual thing from that year - starting up front, then breaking down around halfway or near the finish

Is my understanding correct that the corner where the car is has now disappeared, and we have Ferradura going straight through that yeallo/black barrier and into the complex as we know it currently?

Or is the existing corner at the bottom left the current Ferradura?

Apart from a couple of corners, most of the old track still exists and is used as service roads.

I remember seeing plans 4-5 years ago showing they were going to extend the track, use more parts of the old one and move the pitlane to where the back straight is (currently). Don't know what happened to them.

track administration promised to revamp the paddock and track, it was more cost effective and it was done last year

I'm actually happy that they didn't extend the track. In general track have been put too much into same length nowadays so current Interlagos is more an exception than the norm.
