Can they change the gearing if starting from the pitlane?

Having this happen late season is bad for vettel. The more processional races we've had recently show its harder to pass. If he comes out with a points lead at the end of the day then he should be happy with that.

Maybe Fernando will stop crying now.

Horner said they'll be withdrawing Vettel's car from parc ferme, therefore they're permitted to make setup changes to the car aren't they?

Me too, Alonso never stop crying, he's like a spoiled child and the fact that Ferrari under his feet makes him even worse in that way.

Why are we putting results in this thread. There is another thread to avoid spoilers.

Sry for the results post from Merton, he's my 60plus year old father. Still knows a lot about PCs, but never entered a forum before TBK and uses this mostly to play PickEms. I'll tell him to not post spoilers in random discussion. :D

I would have loved to see Whitmarsh's face as Hamilton too pole while Button was only 6th.

Button is an okay racer but not good in qualifying I think it's fair to say, unless he really hits the sweet spot but that is exceptional.

Perez is not a great qualifier either and seems to be losing some of his impressive-ness he has shown at the start of the season and in the middle.

Happy days ahead for McLaren.

Sauber has a history of dropping badly throughout a season. They produce a good car but then can't keep up with development. So as long as Perez is consistently beating Kamui, it's still all good.

It's not that, but if you look at Sauber's results, they do it at circuits where there's high tyre wear or high downforce. They were fantastic at Spa and Suzuka. These recent tracks aren't conducive to their characteristics.

Regrets? I've had a few...

Vettel's car has been reconfigured with new gearbox and crucially new gear ratios. Today Vettel can show us why he deserves to be a triple champion.

It depends how it goes with the cars in front. If he is immediately behind a big group, he will have problems to overtake, because everyone in the group can use DRS. Senna wil be a problem with his fast speed. But I think he need some SC to score big points today.

i think it will be a bit easier for Vettel to overtake, as most drivers won't be held responsible for ruining someones championship and will certainly not risk to crash him.
