Schumacher's retirement video...

http://www.gpupdate.net/en/videos/2639/ ... zuka-2012/

Just wish he had another year, he has improved a lot from 2011, its sad he won't have 2013 to try again.

Well di Resta always looks like he's found a penny and lost [several thousand] pounds.

Suzuka is so great on it's own. Nothing special happened in FP1 but still if flew so quickly for me and the 90 minutes seemed like less than half an hour.

Felipe seems to be on it this weeked, he was very aggressive on the onboards.

Yeah aside from me getting a tweet read out by Ben Edwards, it wasn't the most amazing practice session I've ever seen, but ho-hum, Suzuka is always great to watch as stated.

Liking some of the new camera angles this year though, particularly the high camera by the bridge, looks great as it looks down on the two fast right handers preceding it

I also liked that high angle camera on the bridge, particularly showing the cars going through 130R. They also have some different angles showing the Degners, aside from that one.

I read in another forum that FOM took over from Fuji this year, is that really so?

Yes, the proof will be on Sunday when we don't sit around watching Kobayshi on his own for multiple laps while the title protagonists go side by side through 130R :p

Yes, Its FOM this year.

I think FOM's camera locations are a big improvement over the FujiTV angle's.

I especially like the angle's on the exit on Dunlop & the shot on the entry to 130R. The shot at Dunlop really catches the undulation & slight banking round that corner & the shot at 130R really catches the speed of the cars there.

Also love that high speed camera they have at the chicane, Loved watching those super slow-mo shots of cars bouncing over the kurbs & sliding through the 1st part. Hope we see more of that through the weekend

Something else I thought was kinda cool was how FOM got some nice close up shots of the detailing on the front wings. Its nice to see what each teams doing with flaps & how different teams have different curves in different parts of the wings. Kinda reminded me of some of the stuff you used to get on the F1 Digital+ Pits channel.

Kimi has electrical problems. Hopefully Lotus get it fixed before the end of the session.

Wonder if there's asphalt next year, as both di Resta and Schumi went too wide to the gravel and lost it.

One more Suzuka victim, Petrov.
Well, not technically, as his rear wing got loose.

The new angle at the hairpin blows.

Just wait for them to stop loading and click the small x. There was no buffering at all for me and the quality was quite good could read easily each drivers lap time on the side. Patience grasshopper patience.
