I really hope not! :p (unless it's not D'Ambrosio, then he's allowed to fuck up any way he wants)

Well we'll see as he officially replace Grosjean

We're actually in a position where a Belgian might win a Grand Prix. I'm so excited.

We didn't have a Belgian at the Belgian Grand Prix, they'll be no Italian at the Italian Grand Prix but we will have a Belgian with an Italian sounding name at the Italian Grand Prix.

Yes, I did copy that from someone else.

Obligatory mention of classic Monza. 3 of the best ever finishes. 1971 even manages to make CART races from Michigan and Fontana look dull.

I prefer a boring Grand Prix at Monza than a boring Grand Prix at the Hungaroring...

anyway, it's always great to see the cars getting out of tamburello. There is not much margin, if you get it wrong there, you're out.

It's a great track, because it is so different compared to so many other, if not all tracks. But perhaps they should extend the race a bit (but that is probably not feasible due to the size of the fueltanks)

Here's the championship as it would be in the old 10-6-4-3-2-1 system...

Drivers Championship

01 – Fernando ALONSO – 52 Pts
02 – Sebastian VETTEL – 40 Pts
03 – Mark WEBBER – 36 Pts
04 – Lewis HAMILTON – 34 Pts
05 – Kimi RAIKKONEN – 34 Pts
06 – Jenson BUTTON – 33 Pts
07 – Nico ROSBERG – 20 Pts
08 – Romain GROSJEAN – 19 Pts
09 – Sergio PEREZ – 11 Pts
10 – Pastor MALDONADO – 10 Pts
11 – Kamui KOBAYASHI – 06 Pts
12 – Felipe MASSA – 06 Pts
13 – Nico HULKENBERG – 05 Pts
14 – Michael SCHUMACHER – 04 Pts
15 – Bruno SENNA – 01 Pt
16 – Paul DI RESTA – 01 Pt

Teams Championship

01 – Red Bull – 76 Pts
02 – McLaren – 67 Pts
03 – Ferrari – 58 Pts
04 – Lotus – 53 Pts
05 – Mercedes – 24 Pts
06 – Sauber – 17 Pts
07 – Williams – 11 Pts
08 – Force India – 06 Pts

Button would be much more close in this system, while McLaren would be closely to RBR as well, Lotus would drop from 3rd to 4th and Kimi would be tied to Hamilton, but losing the place as Hamilton had 2 wins and Raikkonen zero. Williams would be still ahead of Force India, and Hulkenberg's performance would look much more impressive comparing to his teammate. After 12 races done, the leader would only have 52 pts, a very low number.

Maybe custard gets lucky and qualifies just behind Maldonado, then in chicane #1 (or maybe chicane #2) Maldonado pulls a Grosjean/Liuzzi and procedes to plow the field in front of him, and custard being right behind the drama, escapes unscathed like a Force India in Belgium to the front.

Crazy things can happen in F1 :p

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

He hits fewer things than Grosjean or Maldonado, so...

I know it isn't very effective at this track but are DRS zones the same as last year?

A comment I heard today was: "So the FIA bans Grosjean and then deems it okay to allow a guy with no experience to hurtle towards a chicane at 220mph"
