what's the record for the amount of SC's in a race? 4? 5?
Must be a Canada race I guess.....

I wonder if we will set a new record this weekend?

Could be a good bonus question for the TBK Pick-Ems competition.

Two bonus questions :P? I've got enough ideas for those haha :D

If the race were in this May 20th it would be really wet... but there is also rain chance for next sunday... I would like to see rain, but not too much or we will going to see a SC party in Monaco.

Or a red flag going by recent calls on "rain".

Something I really don't understand is, why making full wet tyres if when the rain is hard enough for them the race is allways red flagged? If they think the tyres wont be enough, so bring back the old monsoon tyres. But what can we do? Almost nothing, just hope to not have heavy rain in the race.

They don't red flag the race because they think the tyres can't cope. They red flag for visibility. Whether or not that should be the case is another matter, but it isn't because of tyres.

Thing is, the visibility is generally always going to be at a certain level (in the pack) when it's wet enough to require the wet tyres over the inters. If this is the case and they deem the visibility to be too poor when wets are required (like they have this year already) then why even have wet tyres in the first place?

I realise the occurrence we had this year was probably a one off but it does seem like they are becoming more and more "pussies" (as some members would put it) when it comes to the wet stuff.

There are barely any visibility issues at Monaco given the speeds, except on the S/F line maybe with the trees.

Talking about rain tyres, I heard it mentioned last year that while Bridgestone and Pirelli wet tyres were almost equal when it comes to amount of water they can ditch, Pirelli intermediates are much worse than Bridgestone inters.

So basically when thinking cut-off point where wet tyre is better than intermediate or vice versa, in Bridgestone days the conditions were worse than in Pirelli days.

I think that's probably deliberate as well. Pirelli were probably asked not to produce a tyre like the old Bridgestone inter that could be run in the pouring rain and then essentially perform as a slick for 25 laps (exaggeration) if needed as well ...

If it is just raining hard the tyres should make it, but if there is so much rain/water on the circuit, that the cars "swim" on their bodywork, there is no chance to have a race. Like it was in Sepang some years ago (2009?)

Sepang in 2009 was totally crazy, there was rivers in the track, in that one it was impossible to drive for sure, but we've seen red flags and some very long waiting in some cases, when the races could restart eariler, but let's see, we don't even know if it's going to rain in Monaco, but if it does lets hope it will not be heavy.

This is epic!!! Sérgio Perez will use a helmet honoring Chespirito in Monaco! In the top of the helmet there will be a mention to the "CH" (initials for Chapulin Colorado) together the famous saying "Siganme los buenos" (Follow me the good ones) while in the back a picture of the character itself! If only he could find some space to add a picture of Don Ramón, this would be outstanding!!!

C'mon....when in your life you've imagined Chespirito being honored in F1...not even in my craziest dreams I've imagined that! This is nearly unreal and that makes Perez a legend in my opinion!

Moving on from crappy comedians only Morelli likes, on the topic of helmets, if you go to Mark Webber's facebook or twitter account, you can enter a competition to design his helmet for the Singapore GP. Prize includes keeping the helmet afterwards, 5 star accom in Singapore and hanging with him at the GP.
This time I'll have to stand up for him, Roberto Gomes Bolaños is fantastic, he's famous in Mexico, Brazil and all Latin America, I'm happy to see "Chapolin Colorado" in the helmet. This is so huge in Mexico that even the supporters of the national team in the football games, dress like "Chapolin Colorado". Nice tribute from Perez.

LOL WHOOPS

Seriously, it's not good looking but it's a very nice tribute. I'm really glad Sergio has done it.
