Both great drivers driving vastly inferior cars to unlikely wins.

Sorry, but I think a Red Bull or a McLaren is likely to win this one... we saw in Bahrain that Kimi nearly won the GP starting from 11th... :(

But, nice quali. Great job from Maldonado and Alonso
I'll maybe go for a Lewis-win :p

Rain likely? Might make this worth staying up for.

If I had to bet money, it would be on Kimi, Lotus has propably the best race pace at the moment, Ferrari was weak on hard tyres, it can make Alonso drop some positions, also Williams can't match Lotus race pace too, so Raikkonen and Grosjean have their biggest chance to win so far this year.

Acc to a friend at the circuit the track is dry atm but weather is shit so it can easily rain.

If anything well see lower track temps which i think can mix up the field anyway.

Three people have left McLaren since yesterday's incident.

Looked pretty murky in the background during the GP3 race

Yeah, I think so, too... the thing with Lewis was just more of a joke :p
But who knows, maybe they'll even let him start from the pitlane if allowed. I wouldn't be surprised to see him up there in the top-5 actually.
Alonso and Maldonado unfortunately won't have a good race pace, but Lotus will. Vettel will have some good chances for the win as well as he starts from 7th, that's not such a bad position.

But please:
NO RAIN!!

They expect rain after the race. Likely scenario for the race: overcast but dry.

Very dark clouds on the middle part of the circuit. But knowing this GP,there will be no rain.

Indeed. My potentially dodgy Spanish weather site says no rain until the early evening. Temperature is down on yesterday by about 10 degrees though so tyres will be working differently ... I want it to stay dry, should be an interesting race with this grid. Normally we see the pole man win because the fastest car qualifies at the front, but this year it's not so clear.

Thank god. The least we need is a red flag with these starting positions.

Could be a great race with maybe 10 drivers who can win this race, including Button, Webber and Hamilton.

As long as Lewis does'nt panic and banzai into the first corner, I think it's likley he will be up to 17th or there abouts, could quite possibly be amongst the Toro Rosso's by the end of the first lap.

Should be a top race tho!

Some really nice odds for this race on the betting websites. Let's try something, it will be either a great win or a massive fail. :p

Putting all my money on Grosjean for the win.

A midfield crash in T1 could wipe out both McLarens and Red Bulls and that would throw the race wide open.

Byron Young (Grauniad?) says this is a made-up story.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

As did Martin Whitmarsh on Sky a second ago.
