Watched the race live at the F1 in Pubs event, couldn't really hear the commentators, I'd say I heard about 40% of it but the only time it went quiet we heard David Croft cram in a footballing comparison to the Man U match that had just finished and it made a few people audibly cringe.

If he's not careful with that kind of pandering to the popularists then he will end up like James Allen towards the end of the ITV days, cringeworthly bad!
All we'd need is some affected mockney sayings ("Get in there! I don't Adam and Eve that pass!") and he'd have it nailed.

Surprising that we've still yet to hear from the stewards considering the race ended what, 2 hours ago?

That's sad.

Was it just me that assumed Hamilton was under more scrutiny for overtaking outside the track limits?

Don't get me wrong, happy there was no penalty, and not wanting to tie it into the "FIA always want to penalise Lewis!" conspiracy theory but I assumed the FIA saw leaving the track limits as worse than what Rosberg did, which was make the one move that the rules allowed....

Hmm, I doubt they'll "give up" on this season.

To be honest, Lewis should be given extra points for staying flat when he was seemingly on a one-way ticket to an aeroplane crash.

No penalties for anyone this weekend (except for Force India from the TV director, obviously )

So in 2012 we have an unpredictable form book creating overtaking filled races without stewards penalties punishing anyone who dared get a bit racy.

Are we SURE this is Formula 1 we're watching?

Every racing series is deciding to donate their penalty allocations to DTM.

Tbh I think TV director compensated Force India for their Saturday blackout.

Schumacher highly critical of the Pirelli tyres saying this isn't what racing should be.

Baring in mind Micheal Schumacher thinks racing should be blasting in a qualifying lap pace when your rival pits to overtake him in the pit lane and barging anyone who comes near you off the track I don't think I'll ever agree with him about what racing is.

I think this weekend F1 has taken a battering from International media who had their heart set on condemning the sport's actions and hoping something would go wrong. Bernie and Todt came out of this weekend very badly. Nevertheless, you could argue that F1 taking place have highlighted the issues in the country on both sides. However, I don't agree with F1 being used as a political tool.

Just saw Webber's post-race interview - critical of the race taking place!

To be fair, Todt and Bernie look even worse to those who watch F1. They could have claimed the moral high ground by claiming the media is poorly portraying the the events in Bahrain and it is actually safe. But they claim it safe, then turn up with a team of body guards each, criticise teams (Force India) who say it isn't safe, then take the petty way of dealing with it by boycotting FI coverage for an entire day. I firmly believe that had there not been such a backlash from the fans, they would have done the same on Sunday.

You can't claim it's safe then walk around with bodyguards. You can't show off that you need protection, then criticise teams who want to protect there own staff. And you can't take the childish route and cut off coverage to those who wanted to keep the staff safe.

Force India may have over reacted, but they did what they thought was best in the interest of their staff. I normally sing the praises of Bernie (and to an extent, the FIA), however the way this weekend has been gone off has been a hypocritical disgrace.
