I read a report earlier that said F1 will not return to a country where 2 consecutive grand prixs have been cancelled. If right then I can imagine Bernie and co will be even more enthusiastic to not cancel this year. It would free up space for all these other races meant to join the calender, maybe we could even keep Spa every year.

They'll ignore that when Bahrain gets canned and they'll try again next year.

FIA breaks their own rules, so...

If Bernie dreams about more thant 20 GPs, as it seems likely, Bahrain wouldn't be exactly giving room for another GP.

A new track must also host a local event before a F1 race can take place. Very difficult if the track is only ready 30 minutes into FP1

So were they protesting the fact that if a Mercedes driver uses their fingers to activate the DRS which is legal then as a consequence this other F-duct type thing is getting activated by driver movement?

People will get hurt. The tyrants will use the attention F1 is taking away for themselves to kill and surpress protests elsewhere. This is going to damage F1's image.

Hopefully, at least one single sponsor, will ask to remove it's brand from the ads of this GP. I don't think it's wise to associate a brand with such a controversial event.

I can just see the first casualty soon as Gaara decides to dissasociate himself with the Race thread.

The tagline being 'a bone-shaking experience'.

Or, alternatively, 'it'll rock your world'.

They haven't even discussed Bahrain with the teams yet. It's Bernie and the FIA trying to show the teams who's in charge.

Anyone with a Bah-rain can see this race shouldn't go ahead and which ever woman made this decision I'd Sak-hir.... would be my introduction.
