I'm somewhat excited for this track. The start reminds me of A1-Ring with a hill coming up and a sharp corner by the end of it.

Slow as fuck, 11min laptime, dirt everywhere, diggers in the run off, worst GP track ever

Was it 11minutes? It felt so fast with the pulsing techno soundtrack ...

Nice design, but the character looks more like James Allen.

Now that you mention it, that's all I can see.

*Random Thought*
I wonder where Minardi would in terms of performance had Red Bull not bought them out.

Meaning we wouldnt have had Vettel (still at BMW or straight to Red Bull?), Bourdais, Algluesauri, Buemi or the current STR drivers. Possibly more pay drivers but I would rate them somewhere with Caterham.

They would surely be better than the newer teams. At least the first season. Probably in a spot between the midfield teams and the newer teams. By now they would probably still be better than Marussia or HRT.

Most likely they'd have gone bankrupt.

Piquet [Jr.] criticises 'weak' and 'lucky' Lotus duo
Sunday 19th August 2012, 20:32 by Ryan Wood

Former Renault F1 driver Nelson Piquet has criticised both Lotus drivers, branding Romain Grosjean 'lucky' and Kimi Raikkonen 'weak'.

The 27-year-old says Grosjean, who replaced Piquet at Renault in 2009, has only stood out this season because he's been paired with a weak team-mate in the form of Raikkonen who returned to F1 this year after a two-year absence.
"He has got a lot of luck, [which has] come at a time when his team-mate is a little weak and has a very good car," Piquet told TotalRace.
"His luck is that he was not doing well in F1, another season of GP2, landed a sponsorship deal and returned to F1 paying, right? Then things went right for, how do you say, in his career. The timing was very good for him."
The Brazilian, who was paired with Fernando Alonso during his tenure at the Enstone outfit between 2008 and 2009, believes his former team-mate would be doing a better job than Lotus's current line-up.
"If they had Alonso there, they would be winning the championship with that car," he added. "Sure he [Grosjean] has improved a lot since the last time, but there he is no phenomenon. He's nothing compared to Alonso."

I don't mean to get banned for this, so watch at your own risk. Just a picture to lighten up the bored spirits.

That wasn't funny until I saw Schumi's face at the end.

Anyway, Caterham have now fully moved into the Leafield Technology Centre. Considering the fate of the other F1 teams that have been based there I fully expect them to go bust by 2015.

Wow, Piquet. The only element of truth in that article is that they might be doing a little better if Alonso was driving. Kimi is having a great season, and Grosjean will be consistantly up there when he irons out the little mistakes. The guy was good in GP2, he just got thrown into F1 at a bad time.

Says the guy who raced his entire junior career in teams funded by his father. I believe Piquet and Romain got the same amount of points in 2009...

Sure, the timing was good for Grosjean but Piquet has done himself no favours by saying that...

I don't get this obsession with believing that every F1 driver should be amazing by the time they are 21 or 22. Grosjean has re-entered F1 at the age of 26 and he's a much better driver for it. Sure, he's no Alonso, but then again, no-one is...

Anyway, isn't this the Nelson Piquet that had his ass handed to him by Fernando for a season and a half?
