No wonder he was so coy in India...

Williams news; Saward is reporting that Williams is close to a deal with QTel, a Qatar-based telecommunications company.

QTel's logo is blue and white, which would allow the team to retain a similar livery.

The QTel logo on the official website is a bright'ish pink colour

Then he's just gone off of the photos that are around from when Brawn were sponsored by QTel for the 2009 Abu Dhabi race.

That would be different, though. A pink car. Very fetching.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

It said they only need François Fillon (France's prime minister) to accept that. And, as he's a big fan of motorsports, coming from Le Mans, and working for a while to get back the France GP, I presume it will be OK.

I just wonder how much will cost the readaptation of the Paul Ricard. I remember that a few years ago, it was impossible to get F1 there because of the lack of tribunes and other spectators areas, after the modernization of the track.

If it's true, it's still a got news to see F1 back in France, but I have to regret it will be only every 2 years, and more, it will cost Spa's place every 2 years two! I know everybody is saying that for a while, but I will still repeat it: Drop the fucking Bahrein GP and take a real racetrack!

It is one of motorsport's great injustices that we will now go to Spa once every 2 years yet have to be subjected to Valencia and Hungary every year.

If you could travel back in time and taken the 2013 calender back to my ten year old self I'm sure he would decide to do something more productive with his Sunday's....
"Where's Austria? Where's Spa? OMG WHAT have they done to Hockenheim!!"

I agree that France should have a race due to its history with the sport but
A) Not at the expense of Spa, and
B)Not at Paul flipping Ricard, a track which they'll still find some excuse not to run the long straights as they are, despite the acres of epileptic fit inducing coloured run off!

Its shocking that they would consider removing Spa (even if it is only every other year), it is a fantastic circuit with a good attendance (or so it seems from tv/having been). I have only seen Paul Ricard raced on once and it was one of the lower formulas, it was ok but the coloured strips genuinely make it hard to watch.

Paul Ricard would be the ugliest F1 track of all time

It'd be better to have it at Magny Cours, which was a genuinely good circuit where the racing was lacking. The main complaint was the lack of access to it but they've now built an autoroute to it.

The teams hated the area too. Most mechanics ended up in local shit tip motels, some miles away from the circuit. It might have a road there, but it's still in the arse end of no where.

The only saving grace is that in a few years time, the money will head back to Europe when China bores of F1, Korea gives it up and so on.

Well, I can hope.

One piece of good news is that Valencia looks fucked.

Hopefully it wont harm his kid's career. Max Verstappen seems to have quite the potential.
Having some proper Dutch talent would be nice....2 even better (Nyck de Vries)

Ah, Paul Ricard. Once a circuit that I actually quite liked. Now a pile of multi coloured concrete vomit.

And at the expense of Spa? As if butchering the circuit wasn't enough for you. F1, you totally suck!

Hopefully not.

According to Dutch sources, Verstappen will spent the next 2 weeks behind bars while the judge reviews the case. But I've also seen that Verstappen wil be tried for attempted murder, rather than assault.
