Indeed, in some instances they probably do shorter disances as well

It's a bit different when you're traveling with MUCH more equipment, and more expensive equipment. Everything from packaging, to transportation, to insurance goes up. Most NASCAR teams also operate with more than 1 road crew, which isn't common in F1.

As for Lotus, it'd be awesome if Tony Fernandes bought them after all. But I'm hoping he saves Lola.

I'd argue for 24 races if most of them are in Europe. But they won't be; Bernie will add the likes of Mexico and South Africa, pretty much as far away from the UK as possible.

Yeah but my point is that if people try and compare it to Nascar crews doing lots of races, it's a poor comparison.

192 races per year? I wouldn't object. Average of 1.2 GP per day.

oh yes, and points awarded should be proportional to the country size. For instance:

In Monaco if you win, you get maximum 20 points. In Russia if you win, you get maximum 1000 points.

I have a feeling Alonso might suddenly run back the other way if that were the case!

I couldn't see Vettel being quicker than Alonso there though if this pipe dream were to come to fruition. It would be a nice fight though, not the farce Massa provides.

Any chance of Vettel moving to Ferrari must be linked to an Alonso departure. No way Alonso would be OK with having that guy on his team.
