In Monaco we had exploding trucks but in Canada we have another truck related incident, although not as spectacular

http://yfrog.com/h253766727j

Apparently its just minor damage to the Ferrari pitwall

F1.com says rain Saturday & Sunday
Autosport says showers on Sunday
BBC says light rain Saturday & heavy showers on Sunday

Radar guru (Autosport) "forecast deteriorating with each new data run. Friday dry, Saturday hy rain arriving late afternoon & o'night. Showers Sunday!"

Having that forecast from Autosport adds credibility to it tbh. They reckon that the rain might come quicker, so a wet quali is probably, possibly a wet FP3 too.

So if it rains in qualifying, then its a dry race, everyone gets to have a few brand new sets of super softs? Could be interesting...

I doubt the DRS will be effective on the S/F though, it's really short, and makes it hard to tow and go round someone because of the kink and all the weaving. It has always been a historically bad place for fair overtaking, we'll see this year.
They could have added even the backstraight between the two chicanes!

Also, hopefully we don't have any serious accidents writing off competitors from either the race or qualifying.

That's how it's gonna be. They didn't do it before because they didn't had what was required for 2 DRS zones to enable the use for the car behind, so it's basically a chance for the car that had just been passed, to fight back.

No it's not, the DRS will only be available for 1 car, the car behind. If he gets past on straight 1 he can use DRS on straight 2 again to pull out a gap.

Only thing i'm worried about is I think our coverage of the LM24 is behind by 2 hours, always thought it started at 10pm our time, says its 12am on our TV guides.

Sounds like it is. The Canadian GP starts 4 hours after Le Mans finishes.

Are you actually sure about that? If that were true then that would go against the need for giving drivers a second DRS zone.

well putting a DRS-Detection zone in the last chicane would be a little late, so I guess it will be 2 DRS zones for 1 DRS-Detection zone like Cookie said

Seeing as the last three races here have been awesome and the ones before that far from dull, Montreal would be better with 0 DRS zones

errmmm no, he didn't say that at all. Cookie said the DRS will only be available to one car who will be able to use it twice, thus eliminating the possibility of the overtaken car to re-overtake... That sounds illogical.

actually that's the same thing as I was trying to say

if you have 1 detection zone, the car that does the overtake on DRS-zone 1 will also have the DRS on DRS-zone 2
