What exactly David was supposed to do at Spa back then? He was as far right as he could go and that's a place where you overtake from the left. He was being lapped and tried to give room. Only mistake he did was that he lifted too early on those conditions and Michael was trying to slipstream him at the same time to lap DC.

Let Schumacher past in the middle of the Bus Stop.

I gave this race a 8.

Surely, the SC period helped to spice-up this race considerably. It provided some chaos and a great strategic battle for the victory and remaining podium spots. Furthermore, we saw some nice fights and of course the battle between Barrichello and Schumacher was very exciting. The fact that Williams scored a double-points finish also contributes to the fact that I have a good feeling about this race afterwards. It kept me interested throughout the 70 laps, so a 8 it is! This is what we could use after the dull German GP. Also, for Hungary standards it was surely above average!

I don't get either what was wrong with the Spa 98 episode, the weather conditions were shit, things like that happened more than once.
I think DC did what he thought was okay, unfortunately, it didn't work as planned. But it is way different than what Schumacher did last week-end, i don't even know how you can compare that.

Quite simple: he should have left the racing line to let him go through.
It was a poor effort from Coulthard back then to stay on the racing line in these conditions while being dead last and the race leader coming from behind.
And David never thought he did something wrong for years.

there was enough room for MS to pass him without losing time

Problem was the visibility, rain, fog - probably the worst conditions you could think of as a race driver. And in this case David just made the mistake to stick with the racing line and to slow down while Michael could not see anything. Schumacher did not expect David there. In the end a misjudgement from David basically, still a mistake however.

Yeah in hindsight David could have done it better, but it certainly wasn't delibrate, and you can't say DC was a bad sportsman because of it. (what nightflight was implying).

Yeah, it was a racing incident, not like he was trying to push Michael in to a wall.
