Looks like Alonso initially caused the start crash by forcing Rosberg off the track at high speed, who had no choice but to come back on the track and make Trulli spin in front of the field.

Trulli could have stayed on the gravel and drop down to dead last. Instead he pushed his luck and tried to rejoin the track immediately, causing the havoc. But basicly, this was just another racing incident where no one was injured, so there isn't really a point to see who was guilty and who wasn't.

I never said it was his fault, I just said he caused the chain reaction. :)

It has earned an 8! Wasn't that brilliant to give a ten. On one hand they missed a lot (e.g. Heidfelds practice crash), but on the other one they made fantastic coverage of the start crash (lots of different angles!)...

6/10

It wasn't bad for Spanish GP standards, and was better than Bahrain a couple of weeks ago.

I really cant understand how people still rate it like 5 and 6 :o :o

Gave it a 2, and that only because of the ALonso Webber fight and Massa running out of fuel. Besides this literaly nothing was happening no passing or whatsoever...and also the fastest (Barrichello) didnt win which makes it even worse.

Well it didn't have any passing, but it had a huge shunt, uncertainty as for who'd win, and some interesting strategies clashing with each other. Whether that makes it interesting enough to watch, is debatable.

It didn't have me on the edge of my seat, but I certainly was interested. Would Massa make it to the eye for example.

Trulli was out of control before he even went into the gravel, he lost the back end reacting to Rosberg whilst still on the track. He did not choose the timing of his re-emergence from the gravel to the track and the accident that resulted, it all started back before he even went into the gravel and there wasn't a lot he could do from then onwards. At least that is how I saw it ...

Anyway, none of what I just said changes the fact that it was still just a racing incident with all the usual turn one, too many cars too little race track stories, infact what I just said really just enforces that ...

Australia's Mark Webber.

Was flawless on a good strategy, and shown some balls to defend position in an hard way when it was necessary. Keeping Alonso behind was absolutely key to his podium.

+1

6.

Not terribly memorable, but a solid grand prix.

Button. Another flawless performance and worthy of a real champion. The British fans should turn out in force at Silverstone to see a great British victory.

It was better than Bahrain but not much passing which is a hallmark of the circuit.

4/10

Webber. Mega repass on Alonso, and would have been nowhere had he not made that move stick and he knew it. Great drive, great strategy and a well deserved podium.

Worst race by FOM this season, the coverage of some battles or following race leaders seem a bit random, and not showing a single shot of Massa's situation after Button crossed the line was downright bad directing.
