The Chinese Grand Prix is a round of the Formula One World Championship, held towards the end of the season in October. It is currently held at the Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai, designed by Hermann Tilke. It is the most expensive Formula One circuit facility, costing $240 million.

Circuit History
[spoiler]
F1.com wrote:
The Shanghai International Circuit was designed as the race circuit for the new millennium. And the modern track, with its stunning architecture, has achieved its goal of becoming China's gateway to the world of Formula One racing.

Circuit architects Hermann Tilke and Peter Wahl on their creation: “The 5.4 kilometre racing track is shaped like the Chinese character 'shang', which stands for 'high' or 'above'. Other symbols represented in the architecture originate from Chinese history, such as the team buildings arranged like pavilions in a lake to resemble the ancient Yuyan-Garden in Shanghai. Here, nature and technology are carefully used to create harmony between the elements.”

Not only is the course remarkable for its change of acceleration and deceleration within different winding turns, making high demands on the driver as well as the car, but also for its high-speed straights. These offer crucial overtaking opportunities and give an intense and exciting motorsport experience to the spectators. The Main Grandstand with 29,000 seats provides a spectacular view of almost 80 percent of the circuit.

Can't wait!

This would be 3rd race in a row with rain at the circuit on raceday.

I wouldn't be surprised if Raikkonen is a factor next weekend. Also i wouldn't count Kubica out. Hopefully he wins and Hamilton with Massa crash each other or something.

I'm pretty motivated into this, most say that the track is a disgrace, but I wouldn't.

Tbh, I have no idea at all, who would eventually take the win. It is just so unpredicatble right now.

Kubica wins, Massa has an engine failure and Hamilton gets a stop/go penalty for driving through the smoke from Massa's engine. This sets up an awesome finale in Brazil filled with penalty's to get the 3 on an equal amount of points at the end of that race (and Massa winning the title because he has most victory's)

Don't say I'm crazy because stranger things have happend this season :whistling:

It's going to be a crazy last 2 races. Hopefully it will be another awesome race, rain will also spice it up alot! Im hoping Kubica wins and massa and Hamilton both have a crazy race. So then the last race will be a 3 way championship fight (just like last year!)

If Hamilton finishes off the podium this weekend, the world champion is guaranteed to have fewer than 100 points for the first time since 2003, and for only the third time in the past decade.
