I didn't mind the ONE coverage and the BBC commentary, Legard made some really obvious mistakes, but he doesn't irritate the life out of me. He'll get better with time.

The ads were a discrase though, I understand the point of commercial television and that ads are a given, but they should have played the ads that pay the bills, not to tell me what time Sports Tonight is on.

Of course, Im really happy that we have ONE, since we finally get live races now. I understand they need to make commercials to make this possible, but they were so annoying and long, they were atleast 5 mins or something. We missed some of the best parts of the race because of this.

I don't know if it's similar to there but here some of the ads are local and therefore a total length of adss may differ, so they put future program ads to the end to equalise length for each region.

Just return F1 racing to Watkins Glen, with the boot.

I agree, but what would the FIA do to Watkins Glen? I fear they'd do something quite damaging to the place. I love Watkins Glen as much as the next person, but I don't think they'd quite be the same after the FIA got a hold of them.

For starters, the facilities, I understand, are pretty outdated. Secondly, they'd probably need more spectator area. Thirdly, I'm pretty sure that they'd try to add three square miles of runoff per corner. That ain't right.

I would say that what's been done to the Hungaroring is an improvement but that's a bit like polishing a turd, isn't it?

And there's already a tarmac runoff area in turn one at Watkins Glen...

I don't understand how they can show a replay of the race during prime time on a weekday but not show qualifying live? 10 confuse me.

It seems odd how BBC coverage, which by its very nature is ad free in Britain, is on commercial television abroad.

I think Spa hasn't changed much, apart for the bus stop chicane. It still got Eau Rouge, Blanchimont, uphill, downhill etc. And it got new facilities now. I think it is one of the few tracks, that hasn't changed much lay-out wise since the first race on the new lay-out back in 1983.

Apart for the bus stop chicane off course.

Oh yea, every track the FIA touches turns to shit. Watkins Glen is awesome, I just don't want to see it ruined.

Oh please, the Eau Rouge has been gone for almost a decade now. And it has nothing to do with advanced aerodynamics which makes driving through it easier. They also have made it easier. It's more straight than it used to be and also it's much wider. They've also added land fill to the bottom to make it less steep. It also has wider and lower curbs and tarmac run-offs all around.

Here's a few pictures to see what I mean. The changes are small, but they definately have taken a part of it's character away.
