Me too, this year with the race starting 17:00 in Malaysian Time, the chance of rain is huge, I can't wait for this race, it's going to be even better than Melbourne, cause even if it don't rain, the high temperatures will make the soft tyres suffer even more than Melbourne, the race is going to be awesome. Can't wait for that

Whilst i'd welcome a wet race, they'll stop it if it's too heavy with the late starting time!

even if it doesn't rain, clouds normally can get quite dark around the Sepang circuit. That combined with a twilight race could give us some semi-night race without lights.

Remember, if it starts to rain, it is very dark already. So if it rains, it will be like night on the circuit, and you will probably see nothing!

Kinda like Interlagos last year after the podium. It stormed and you couldnt see a thing.

yes exactly.

The weather made those race-conditions almost like something that could only happen in your dreams.

RAIN RAIN RAIN

R A I N.

Guys easy with the high hopes, it rains nearly every day in Sepang so the forecast shows rain of course.

Hirohide Hamashima, Bridgestone director of motorsport tyre development
Quote:
"Sepang is quite severe on tyres as it has many different corner types and two heavy braking zones after long straights. This means the energy going through the tyres over a lap is considerable. Drivers will have to be careful not to lock their brakes, especially with the new generation cars which seem less stable due to the lower levels of downforce. High temperatures are usually a factor in Malaysia, and the later start time for the race is when we often see rain, so there are many challenges we could face. The hard compound we have in Malaysia is a development from the hard compound that teams used in pre-season testing. It has been modified to be softer than before, in response to feedback from the teams, however it is not a very big change and I am confident that it will be suitable. Management of the soft compound is likely to be the biggest challenge of the weekend, as we have not previously brought a soft tyre to Sepang."

Nahh, we had even a wet race in Monza last year, a high speed track, no worry about stopping the race anymore. I really hope for rain in Malaysia

Maybe Ferrari will build a new diffuser in their car for the races in Europe, but I don't think that teams can build in a new diffuser in such a quick time till Malaysia

BTW I think you mean that the last time Kimi had won was Spain 2008, not 2009 :P

Crap, you're right :p sorry

Also I guess you cant just copy Brawns diffuser and just put it on your car, they propably have to design the whole rear end of the car new to adopt it with the new diffuser.

So, this race is going to start at 5.00PM as well! Isn't that a very bad idea since it's getting dark there very quick? From my experience in Thailand it gets dark right away at 6.00PM...!
