I remember thinking that it seemed a bit lacking in atmosphere, you couldn't really see any spectators or get any real sense of occasion for a place that would settle the world championship so often.

Jarno Trulli. He was absolutely nowhere at Singapore and under real pressure to keep his drive and also to keep the team in the sport and a great drive to a second consecutive second place in a week for the team.

Trulli for defying a large portion of his career and not falling asleep during the race, instead kept pushing to jump Lewis. In an entirely non-sexual way.

Teams probably save weight there as it isn't crash tested area. Makes sense if this is the most vulnerable area of the monoque. Something that the drivers probably don't realize as you see them often pushing as fast as possible to the pits when they have damaged front wing getting underneath the car.

Kinda like having Bahrain as a season opener.

Please, spare us the horror of that image and the next person to quote that image on the next page will be summoned to a swift beating.

That's funny because the japanese turned out to be a very passionate bunch of fans..

Even at Monza you don't really see a lot of grandstands but don't tell me there is no atmosphere there. You really have to go to the track to feel that. There are merely a few tracks where you could visually judge the racing atmosphere i.e Barcelona where grandstands were basically everywhere or Bahrain.

There was not a lot of atmosphere at Monza when I went (2008). Two reasons is my guess

1. The rain
2. The Ferraris not doing good
(3. Me being there maybe, certainly nothing to get excited about)
