In my opinion teamorders are just part of this sport. It's useless to forbid them. What if Alonso did not pass Massa and would lose the WDC with a few points later on in the season? Massa has no real chance anymore, but Alonso does! It's just so naive and stupid to forbid this. I have absolutely no problems with it.

Of course, teams which let their drivers fight for the points is more attractive to watch. But it is Ferrari's right to determine themselves in what order Alonso and Massa cross the line. Well in fact, it's not because the rules forbid it. But I would see no problem in skipping this rule.

Besides, the punishment is a joke. These 100.000 dollars... When Alonso wins the WDC they earn millions with it!

It's funny but this whole thing could've been avoided had Ferrari done the smart thing and done the switch in the pits somehow.

I think they tried that actually by bringing in Alonso first.

Tifosi are really glad for what Ferrari did. True story.

Difficulty in manipulating Massa's pit stop was that Vettel was only two seconds behind Alonso and if Ferrari had made sure that Alonso will pass Massa during the stop, there was a risk that Vettel had gone past too.

that part of the racing was awful directing by the way. We had to wait a full lap before watching the lead cars again and seeing how the pit stops had turned out in terms of track position.

I want Ferrari to be banned the day of the WMSC (it should be the first day of the italian GP.)

I am never going to buy a Ferrari FXX and that has everything to do with the cheating, and nothing to do with the fact that I'm poor!

I seriously don't give a shit. I personally think Ferrari were fine to do what they did. They did it wrong with regards to the coded messages they used, but I personally don't see an issue with it and think it will probably happen again later in the year between Red Bull or McLaren, and i find this forums response to it mentally fucking retarded with comments like it's ruined F1 and they should be banned from the season. People saying they are never going to go out and buy a Ferrari are just as retarded as well.

This, this and fucking this.

Motor Racing fans who tune into motor races in the hopes to see motor racing are terrible people.

If that's how Ferrari want to run it maybe they send both cars out in qualifying, see which one gets the faster time then put Alonso in that one regardless of who actually qualified faster.

Massa earnt that race. Took the lead at the start, defended well and came out ahead on the pitstops.
Alonso should've just been a man and passed him on track, not resorted to whining for the third race in a row on the radio that things aren't fair and the whole racing world should bow to his whims.

Racing fans are going to want to see racing on track, not notes being passed round in pitlane to decide the order of today's parade. I don't blame them for being pissed off, it was a dull race anyway, maybe not to some extremes, but people will vent...

Although we all had a good laugh in Turkey I still much prefer the risk of that sort of thing happening than having the result decided before the race.
Otherwise it's just going to be WTCC soon (or worse! WRC!) with drivers fighting over each other to get out of the way for their number 1 driver, even if it means letting through other cars first, etc.
Those series show you how bad things are when this sort of thing is left to get out of control. They're not races usually, just shuffling of the deck from qualifying order to the manufacturers preferred order.
That's not motor racing.

I don't care that Ferrari did it, but it is against the rules and they broke them. If you race on only 1 set of tires you will get a penalty too. Stupid and unnecessary rule but it is a rule.

BTW, I was following the race wtih a laptop on my knee with the Livetiming. And there really is no way you can tell Fernando was constantly faster in the race. He and Massa were trading fastest laps, but Alonso definitely wasn't the fastest man out there.
