What? :o

They weigh the drivers after the race for the purposes of Car+Driver weight regulations. It's to stop the ridiculous theory that one could run a light car and driver, then shove some weight into his helmet/overalls whilst celebrating after the race before he is weighed, thereby meeting the minimum weight regulation.......

Or tip a bucket of water over the driver to "cool him down" but in actual fact make him heavier from the weight of water!

but drivers are allowed to drink when they come out of the car, and before they are weighed.

Drivers are given water (by FIA reps) after being weighed and before going to the podium.

That Alonso's overtake on Massa in the pit lane had much more repercussion in brazilian press than in F1 or even inside Ferrari. During the race, at the moment it happened, the commentators in Globo TV acted like a crime was being made. Then, after the race when reporters went to interview Massa on this subject, he just said, "yeah, it was a difficult situation" while everyone expected him to make a scandal.

What many people have to understand is that Massa is half a second slower than Vettel, Button, Hamilton and Alonso. There isnt a day you can say, "man, Massa will win today..." It would really depend on the car, on the race conditions and etc. We know that under rain Massa is really bad and slow...and we can't say the opposite when it's dry...

what a race!

I was away for the whole weekend, and it was not easy to not watch or hear any news about the race.

Hamilton was very aggressive, the pit lane incident was something I found way too dangerous, but I cannot judge whether it is Vettel/Hamilton or the teams itself that played it dangerous? A lot of people think it is ok it seems, but imagine they 'touching wheels' resulted in a car going sideways and killing a mechanic? The other incidents I think were just 'racing on the limit' I think. But the pit lane incident is just not done. You do not race each other in the pitlane.

Schumacher was a huge dissappointment. Where is the time he could make a 'lesser' car better than the 'best' car? Where he could win races in a 'lesser' car? Where he destroyed his teammates? When he was the number one in the team without any doubt? Where he drove a second faster than anyone else in the wet?

A pity the small teams couldn't score any points. I was also amazed there wer not 'too many' slides and crashes in a race with such mixed conditions.

All in all a very good race! The best this year so far!

A pity we only see such races when the conditions are mixed.

And who says you can't overtake in F1??

Actually it could be more because they found few more passes and it might be in the 80+ region :8:

Last two races in China = 140+ passes :o

Lets not get carried away here. Remember that the majority of these passes took place under wet conditions, with some cars on slicks, some on inters, some running in their tyre temperature range, some out.

Its hardly a fair contest when in the majority of cases a pass took place due to the conditions. Just you wait till the next dry race (most prob barcelona).

7/10 for me too, a lot of these races are being let down by unexciting endings.

There are always people like that. Three people voted 10 for Valencia race last year...
