Rubens has been historically strong at Silverstone. Rubens has not been outqualified at Silverstone by his teammate since 2001.

I don't know what the FOM is doing in general. It seems the director favors showing the front runners running alone than anything at the back. He kept showing the gap between Redbulls and Button, but it was rather clear that Button's pace was unchallengable after Vettel was clear to make it 3 stopper. And it's not only that, it's that the directing seems too random as well--->picking up a random battle, then switch back to the front runner at the least expected moment and then switching to another random car. This is in many ways worse than that of Monaco's despite it's FOM's directing.

1/10.

This race was an embarrassment to the Overtaking Working Group as there was not one decent overtaking move amongst the top runners at all. You can overtake in Turkey so it can't be blamed on the circuits, but the cars. To produce overtaking they need to increase braking distances and reduce so-called "field spread" as most of the cars weren't even running close, never mind passing.

This race was the worst this year so far and one of the worst I have ever watched.

Jarno Trulli. From nowhere in the last couple to fourth here.

Jenson Button did not put in anything special.

The people in Montreal won't be too happy then.

Jenson Button is on the second most points scored after 7 races in history. Only Schumacher in 1994 with 66 is higher.

Anyone else notice on the BBC Highlights, nothing of the Piquet move on Hamilton, which was actually one of the highlights ... Not that it really matters but, if it were going to matter anywhere, then this would probably be the closest thread to that.

And Bernie is blaming the promotors of the event. He still doesn't get it I guess.

Glock. Good race from him

About Button, I was thinking about it this way: "He hasn't made any mistakes during the race, so he was not driving on the limit. In that case, how can he be the best driver of the race? He was just relaxing in the car."

There all on the limit. You can't be fast unless u attack every corner in every lap. Button did the best out of everyone with that. Thats also why hes winning everything. Yes he has a top car, but only a top driver can make that top car win like the way he is at the moment.

Yes, i remember Webber flying off the road several times this season and ending his race. Wait. What?

Actually i can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not :p If you weren't then yes, Webber has been pretty much mistake free

Wrong. He could be driving ON his limit, just not OVER it, that is when you start to make mistakes.

True, and Webber is the only man to take the fight to Button, overtaking him in China around the outside, a brilliant move

Whilst Webber's move was great, it has to be remembered that Vettel wasn't in that fight because he was half a minute further up the road.

They were also on totally different stages of their strategy at the time, and Webber was having to re-pass him because of an earlier mistake. If I remember rightly ... As for the debate at hand, I don't care.

Button wasn't a threat that race anyway, his car was 2 seconds a lap down on the Red Bulls. It would've been highly embarrasing for Webber if Button had maintained his position.

Yeah, true, but for everyone slagging off Webber, it was a fantastic move

As for Button, Vettel had a run on him in the last corner and Button immediately braked late and ran wide, it happened again in the following laps. This was the first time he was seriously challenged. I don't know though, if it was indeed a mistake under pressure or he just took it safe in case Vettel made a desperate move on him. So it's either Button or Rosberg for me.

Vettel is young and will overcome these mistakes but I hope he gets it sorted out while he is still in one of the top cars. ( LOL @ referring to Red Bull as a top car :( )
