Honda gave them a bucket load of money and they now will have Virgin as a main sponsor, im pretty sure that will last them a whole season, hopefully.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

One can speculate that there might be other bids coming from the likes of Prodrive/Aston Martin

I know he is a F1 journalist, but that Aston Martin part must be just British wishfulness?

I think it's partly due to Richards' involvement in the consortium that bought Aston Martin in 2007 and that they might used the name to promote the brand.

Investment Dar is involved in both, but it's not like they're the same company... altough Prodrive runs Aston Martin Racing, but that connection was there years before Richards & co. bought Aston Martin.

Found old link from 2007 (when Prodrive was still aiming F1), Richards said F1 and Aston Martin brand is a mismatch:

Yes, I hope so. But most of them are just suppliers and therefore I don't know if they are enough for it. Moreover, there were some other issues, like the support from Honda (it was supposed to finish at March, wasn't it?) and the money from FOCA that wasn't provided yet. And I read somewhere (unfortunately, I cannot remember where) that Brawn complained about a possible financial trouble.

I really want to believe in all the good news, but they need to be more established to bring them to us.

Quality should be above quantity. I can't really see how a starting grid of 26 cars would be possible without completing the standardization proces of Formula 1.
