I'd say he just has nothing to do and has fallen into a world of boredom with too much money to spend.

Something like 'the midlife crisis of an f1 driver' (like we saw with Mika Häkkinen: starting to smoke, cheating on his wife, joining a racing series that took away his F1 glory allure,...).

Anyway. Glad to hear he is okay.

Well at least he had the courage to try something new and risky, which isn't completely ridiculous compared to his former career.

Michael should not do this superbike stuff..You have your family, take care of them, hold this superbike.

This superbike racing that he are started to do lately is good example, that he retired too early..

I had heard about this but not seen any pictures or footage of the crash, so thanks for those.

I think more the problem is that most 'older' bike racers don't bounce as well as they did when they were younger, just ask Jeremy McWilliams!

I give him kudos for giving it a go, and he got good praise from the teams/riders when he rode various suberbikes at Portmaio at the end of last year.

On riders changing to 4 wheels, has Rossi given up on F1?

Yeah, he said by the time he'd finished with bikes he'd consider himself to be too old to enter F1

I still wonder if he'll give Rally a serious attempt afterwards
