Depends on where the speed limit line will be. If it's before Vale, there's no point.

but pitting in the last lap is not allowed, it will set you back a lap. Or are that old rules?

Well both the pit lane and track has a timing beam, so I don't see why you'd lose a lap.

it was in Grand Prix 2 :p

But serious, I know that that rule once was used, don't know if it still is. Silverstone 98 comes to mind, I still don't get how Schumacher was allowed to keep that win.

Gotta say I actually do agree with him about reliability.

Well said Jarno, great article.

Good news coming out of Austin, they've just passed the motion allowing access to $25 million from the Major Events Trust Fund. It was passed 5-2.

Good thing it will be V6 engines. I understand Ferrari's point of view that the link to their road cars would be completely gone with 4 cylinders. I think Ferrari in the past also had V6 Turbo engines back in the 80s. Apparently Renault was the only one in favor of 4 cylinders, but let's be honnest, Renault last couple of years have been a few times on the verge of getting out of F1. And even with 4 cylinders I think they can leave F1 any yar now.

The stewards fucked up in 98 hardly Schumachers fault.

I barely watch Dutch TV during races but last weekend I had it on a bit.
The commentator actually had a good comment. Bernie was complaining about the noise coming from 1.6 4cylinders.
He said that Bernie should come to some teen-hangout and listen to their VW Golf mk3 1.6's...with the proper exhaust the noise is still awesome....

Quote:
Australian Daniel Ricciardo will make his Formula One debut in the next round of the world championship at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.

The West Australian will drive for HRT F1 Team, replacing Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan.

Speedcafe.com understands that an announcement will be made later tonight (UK time).

Early reports suggest that Ricciardo will replace Karthikeyan for the rest of the season, with Karthikeyan stepping back into the seat for the Indian Grand Prix in late October.

Ricciardo, a Red Bull Junior driver currently competing in the World Series by Renault class, will compete ‘on loan’ from Red Bull.

Ricciardo’s F1 debut will be at his ‘home’ GP, as he lives just down the road at Milton Keyes, near the Silverstone.

It will be a big day for Ricciardo tomorrow, who also celebrates his 22nd birthday.

Stay tuned to Speedcafe.com for more news as it breaks.

That's just saved Jaime if his performance last weekend didn't already do so.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

How can stepping in a HRT be good for your career?
