Maybe if Mercedes pulls out, they'll rejoin McLaren again. One can dream. :)

Davidson: I was close to Honda race deal

Don't know what to make of this. Just bitter or exaggerating or were Honda really that stupid to potentially hire him over Rubens or Senna?

I would be more surprised if they hired Rubens over him.

Stupid? He was faster as both Barrichello and Button during friday practice ffs :( (even faster as everyone from time to time)

When? Friday practice isn't exactly the best indicator, especially if you mean when he was 3rd driver

Davidson's always been slow. Never rated him. Case in point - when he stood in for Sato back in 2005. He was way off Button's pace and way down the grid

Yeah great comparison with Button having 10 years of GP experience  Button was 9th and Davidson 15th and both retired after 2 laps

and about the test sessions
Quote:
Davidson's display today cannot have harmed his chances as he outpaced his BAR team-mate Jenson Button by 0.885secs. Kimi Raikkonen was a second off the pace in third with team-mate Coulthard rounding off a strong session for McLaren with the fourth fastest time.

Quote:
Davidson posted 1 minute 12.083 minutes in a Honda at the famous American speedway, with Schumacher on 1:12.458 minutes in a Ferrari and BMW test driver Robert Kubica third in 1:13.008.

Wouldn't call him slow...

They should have given him a chance back then, instead of Rubens and Button. They've had their time IMO, just like Coulthard has had his

But let's get back to topic ;)

Button is younger than Davidson.

I think Davidson is probably the same level as Sato, though perhaps a better qualifier than Takuma, though in their time together Takuma appeared to be the better racer.

The impression I got is that Sato wiped the floor with Ant, especially considering the fact that Davidson had driven that car for a year previously, whereas Taku hadn't sat in it once before the season began

Ferrari will probably not be supplying engines to ex-Honda, according to Stefan O'Domenicalli

Just attention seeking. When Button won his first GP, Ants reaction was all about himself.

So Brawn say maybe and Domenicalli says no, big thing for a team to miss out on aswell, probably the best powerplant in F1

How can it be the best? I thought they were supposed to all be equal. :o Some are more equal than others obviously :p

They're all limited to the same amount of revs but that doesn't stop one being more powerful than the other
