Sainz got 5 secs for the incident with Piastri so drops to 5th place.

I'm sorry but this is hogwash. Penalty for locking wheels when the overtake was done already. And they want to promote overtaking with the expanded points system? What's the point if they will seemingly micro-manage every single contact at this rate.

That's a terrible decision. Yes, Sainz is slightly out of control and there is contact, but he left more room than when Piastri ran him completely off the track. The only difference is that Sainz took avoiding action and didn't pick up any damage.

If Sainz gets a penalty, then Piastri should have one.

The stewards just want to be seen. IMO, the worst referee is the one who wants to be the star of the show.
It's even worse for feeder series. You cannot have contact, starts included, without penalty. It's as if in F2/F3 they don't recognize "racing incident".

Wasn't Alonso the one who was going to talk about the bias of the stewards regarding the nationality of the driver? They decided they would prove his point.

Alonso shot with his eyes wide shut and got a bullseye

but again, if tracks had actual limiters (grass, astroturf, nails strips) it'd be quite easier to policy bold moves

after Lando broke the stats this sunday is time to present the Miami stats brought to you by me:

.1st win for Lando Norris
-114th different driver to win a points paying F1 GP
-won 1st after finishing 15 times on podium (equals record from Hakkinen, Irvine, Alesi and Depailler)
-broke Max Verstappen streak of wins in the USA (won all races since 2021 US GP)
-21st different British driver to win (extends overall record)
-first driver to take a maiden win at US since Alboreto at 1982 Caesar's Palace GP

.Pole position is yet to win at Miami

.First time since 2022 São Paulo GP that British anthem played on the podium

.209th GP start for Nico Hülkenberg without win or podium (new overall record)

.McLaren secured wins at F1, Indycar and Formula E in the past 2 months

.103rd podium finish for Max Verstappen (ties with Kimi Raikkonen for 6th overall)

and I'm pretty sure Magnussen broke the record of penalties issued for a driver during a GP weekend
