I've tried to keep costs as low without staying in Hostels etc. but yea, this is kinda a once in a life time trip, so am ticking off a few things along the way! I'm like in the luxurious position of having these big ticket events only a few hours away. Although to be fair, the 3 days at Monaco including gold seats on the Sunday cost me around 1200 euros which given how much you see tickets going for at Miami and Vegas, I actually didn't think was totally ridiculous, and my accommodation in Menton the next bay around is a nice apartment for around 500 euros for 5 days which yes, is still a bit steep, but it IS near Monaco during race weekend. But if you want to know the real secret to having money, being single with no kids helps

Sounds like an amazing trip. Enjoy it! Had a week in the Dolomites last year and loved it. Lago di Sorapis was my highlight, albeit busy when we went. |

I am what was once upper middle class in Melbourne, and with 2 kids and a mortgage currently the only way we're staying afloat at the moment is a shitload of grocery and petrol vouchers my wife inherited from an old job. When those run out it's time to get my kidneys valued. All sooking aside, enjoy the trip |
