Actually a very nice track! Finally one track that allows race cars to race instead of the usual parking lot surrounded by long straights!!!

Do my eyes decieve me or has Tilke finally decided to design a track with gravel traps in it :8:

Paint?

To meet MotoGP standards it has to have gravel traps. But like you see, the gravel traps only start after sizeable tarmac run-off area. So it's like Silverstone, not like Mugello.

But seriously, I get sick of just thinking the amount of good you could do with that money wasted on that Rainbow road. Liberty Media should say firm "nay" to sportswashing.

It'll be interesting to see if they can pull this off, I good mate of mine who worked for Alex Wurz' company who has been heavily involved in this job was saying how crazy the Saudi's demands were in terms of what they wanted. I can sorta see why now :8: :8: . I reckon it'll be badass, and I love how track design/engineering is being pushed

Let's just go all out and design tracks like Trackmania.

looks like they also asked Jelle from the Marble Runs to help designing

the wonders money can buy when money is not a problem, barely an inconvenience

Loose drain cover again, they need to check all of them before fp2 can start

This track will kill someone soon.

But it's fine because it's Saudi Arabia and it's cool.

I will say, there's a higher than average variation in driver and team pace (relative to eachother) between FP1 and FP2. Whether that indicates a tight field or just a lot of different practice programs, who knows.

Sainz has appendicitis and will be replaced for the rest of the weekend by Bearman.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Surprised they didn't loan someone with F1 experience or called in Giovinazzi.
