Yawn. Could they at least have a race in daylight every other year, just for the sake of variety? Or a race at sunrise. That could be nice.

I don't mind Saturday races, but my main problem is that a lot more important for me support races are on Friday when I can't watch

Agreed, this track at least has beautiful scenery that should not be hidden in darkness. Bahrain and Qatar are in the middle of nowhere, so they look better at night. Also Vegas needs to be during the day

Vegas needs to be one hour before sunset. The Golden Hour is the best lighting because of the orientation of the Strip itself.

The new Qiddya track will be like something from F1 Race Stars (or maybe Mario Kart):

As long as no car flips off the end of that raised section :8:

and now that one race has been cleared and another is coming is time for some stats

.33rd pole position start for Max Verstappen (equals Jim Clark)

.55th win for Max Verstappen
.5th Grand Chelem for Max Verstappen (equals Michael Schumacher and Ascari to rank 3rd overall)
-first driver to do it in the opening round since Michael Schumacher in 2004

.114th win for Red Bull (equals Williams to rank 4th overall)

.first time in F1 history with an opening round without retirements

The layout looks very Circuit of the Americas, and that's not a good thing.

They're basically designing and marketing it to be a theme/entertainment park/resort. Pretty sure the layout/on-track action will be the least of their concerns.

If it wasn't to replace Jeddah, I would be really looking forward to it. It will be an unique experience, that's for sure.

He has run out of creativity ever since Turkey, that's why I had enough of his tracks.

Actually a very nice track! Finally one track that allows race cars to race instead of the usual parking lot surrounded by long straights!!!

To me it just looks like COTA if someone drew it from memory.
