Max has stopped toying with Lewis, off he goes

Yeah Sainz swiped over into Piastri and caused his damage, but Schuey chops are fine with the FIA, always have been, for some reason...

Sainz deciding on softs might be the only thing that is gonna give us entertainment in this race....

I just noticed that there's random guys with phones recording action just behind the armco inside barrier at the backstraight. Is it even allowed? In my head you need some kind of catchfence everywhere

I noticed that too. Bit dodgy when you think back to Alonso's crash last year

You know Martin is closer to the end of his commentary career than the beginning when he's just sick of selling a dead rubber and tells it how it is

Everyone else is part commentator/pundit and part salesperson, bigging up how great everything is, Martin just cuts to the chase and says "this is shit' lol

Well, maybe some bets if both Astons retire with brakes issue? It will be hard to eclipse that one race in Sochi where both Toro Rosso retired after 4 laps IIRC :p

Either that or like Villeneuve suggested, it looks better for him to DNF rather than classify behind Alonso yet again

That was so dull yesterday, I find it a chore to watch sprint qualifying. Just had a qualifying on Friday, let's do the exact same thing again only 15 minutes shorter.

Finally, a normal sprint race with no crazy weather or incidents, and it's dull again. showing exactly this concept just doesn't work.

Full reverse championship order grid is the only way a sprint race can work for F1.

Other sprints this season have been entertaining so far

I just struggle to get into the sprint format. I know it's more racing and action, which is a good thing, but it really felt like a chore yesterday. Not sure why they chose Austin to have one. Monza and Interlagos I can live with.

Further to this point, the owner of the circuit has admitted that they sold fewer tickets for Saturday this year than they did last year, when there was no sprint.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Logical, because there is half an hour less track time for F1 on saturday now. 45 minutes shootout + 30 minute race. Used to be 2 full hour sessions. I'd never consider going to f1 on a Saturday with this schedule. Friday is still the best to visit with 2 hours of running, but it was better in the past with the longer 1,5 hour sessions.
