My favourite stat from this race is that the record for most Q3 consecutive appearances still belongs to Bottas, and only the combined efforts of both RB drivers even got close.

I've seen onboards from the Perez Albon clash. Man, giving Perez a 5s penalty for that is a joke. A drive through would have been better. Albon was almost in the barriers, had to stop and wait before he could go on again in the right direction. He surely would have scored points since he lost all that time and still only finished 1s behind Magnussen.

We have a very simple rule for this scenario in my backyard kart league: exchange finishing positions.

You were racing together on track, and one guy gets punted out. It's only fair that he finishes where he initially was, and the offender goes back to where the victim ended up, because that was the fair real-life "penalty" endured after the contact. Obviously this only applies to short races where no other race facts have influenced the finishing positions, but it would definitely be a good option for blatant late-race offences.
