This shot right here. This broke my heart while watching the replay. This sort of beginner mistake is already bad, but his entire wheel is on the grass almost. That's miles off the line by F1 standards.

This is why we love grass or gravel runoffs that actually make staying on track mean something. Mistakes at the top level (or any level for that matter, so as to not develop bad habits) need to be punished.

And with gravel he wouldn't have made it to the barrier the way he did.

Now it would be a nice grid for the race.

Nope, can't take anything from that. Can't even get an idea of the true order.

I still believe that the Hungary providing good racing is the effect of the amount of races in street tracks away from Europe

given it is now one of the traditional european rounds (more than 35 years non stop) it belongs to our ranting racing hearts

I think Hungary is now one of the races where DRS works perfectly. It helps overtaking but doesn't give fly-bys. Therefore we can see some nice battles of which highlight is between Alonso and Hamilton two years ago.

Didn't realize the track will undergo big modifications, and the work starts after the F1 GP. Hopefully already by next year the track will have gravel traps restored, as Hungaroring wants to host bike racing in the future.
