Didn't they used to have a graphic on the timing tower for drivers with penalties? Pretty much impossible to follow this race without them

Don't think so. It wouldn't be hard to put a red triangle with an exclamation mark next to the driver's name (or a +Xs), like they do for the fastest lap.

They had them for investigations but never for penalties.

How about putting gravel back in turn 10/11, then the majority of penalites wouldn't be possible
