Didn't they used to have a graphic on the timing tower for drivers with penalties? Pretty much impossible to follow this race without them

Don't think so. It wouldn't be hard to put a red triangle with an exclamation mark next to the driver's name (or a +Xs), like they do for the fastest lap.

They had them for investigations but never for penalties.

Most F1 races are just boring. This one is boring with penalties.

How about putting gravel back in turn 10/11, then the majority of penalites wouldn't be possible

Perez is actually threatening to pull off a reasonable recovery drive at this point. By his standards, anyway.
