Sainz is apparently courted by Audi. LeClerc surely wants to get out and be looking at Mercedes and Hamilton. Ferrari soon going to early 90s lineup?

Would Merc want Leclerc? Norris might be under contract but surely there's get out clauses there.

Don't think any of the Ferrari academy drivers could get a superlicence yet so who could they go for.

one funny thing I noticed very early in the race is that Ferrari let parts of the pit board fall into the track, thought it could cause a yellow flag

is easier to see Sainz racing for Mercedes, he's way more consistent and reliable

unless they want to carve Leclerc into a more reliable driver

You’d almost want them to add an 11 token team with mazepin and latifi to create some lulz. But they’ll probably end up crashing into each other at the start and we still fall asleep

They'll introduce stage racing and a chase format championship... :yuk:

and blow a tire from a random driver from 10th or worse to cause an overtime finish

Not saying that this was a race to remember, but I saw some nice moves. Magnussen drove a great race. The battle for the lead with both red bulls being on different strategies, was not terrible.

I´ll never say that this is a good track or an exciting race, but it won´t be the worst of the season.

and that is perhaps the first race in a long time that the race had zero yellow flag moments, race marshalls had a nice view of the race today

So it can look indistinguishable from Jeddah. Great. Also, that would be a 3am race for Europeans. :tired:
Let me guess, they want it to have sprint race as well?

Yea, sounds like it's just an idea at the moment, but ya, I can't see them getting it through with all the residential houses nearby, it still blows my mind they even got the race across the line when you see the aerial shots and where the track actually is located. I guess the one thing is if they go for a night race they could get all the fluro lights of pinks/blues to really give a Miami vibe to the track

Controversial opinion - feel free to lose your shit at me, but I feel a half time or intermission in a race wouldn't be the worst idea, as long as it's a rolling restart when it returns and cars can't be worked on in the break.

Soccer, Basketball, Football, Cricket all those sports have periods, half times, breaks or intermissions, why not motorsport? One day we just said we'll go for 305km and that will do and no-one has bothered questioning it.

Chase format can fuck off though

I just think Pirelli need to bring random tyres to the races, that way teams have no idea what they'll be allocated
