Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, Albert Park Last year's race A DNF for Verstappen and a Grand Chelem for Leclerc gave everyone a false impression that the season was meant to be a Ferrari one. Season standings after round 2 Code: DRIVERS Timetables all times are local (GMT+10) Code: THURSDAY 30th MARCH Local time after those arabian night races, time for the proper season start |

Did F2 and F3 race here last year? That could be fun. |

Easy win for Verstappen unless his car fails Because let´s face it, he would have won Bahrain 30s ahead of Perez without his car problems. |

We're auctioning our house in Melbourne this Saturday. For the first time ever I'm desperately hoping for a dry quali day, but it's not looking good. |

This is the first Aus GP weekend in my life where I've had a free(ish) schedule and won't be going. I'm working Friday and the crowds are just too big to see anything meaningful from general admission points Saturday or Sunday. Grandstand seats are all sold out or are too expensive. So I'll be watching from home on the couch with mates. Oh and good luck @ Philthy82 I hope your 2 bedroom apartment sells for $9m like you were hoping for |

Oh and good luck @ Philthy82 I hope your 2 bedroom apartment sells for $9m like you were hoping for 3 bedroom townhouse we self-renovated from a public toilet to something we were proud of. But with interest rate hikes we can't afford the mortgage anymore. At this point looks like we may just get enough to pay the bank what we owe on it So back on topic, anyone have Oscar's number and know if he's looking for an investment property? At the very least I can say it's looking like a wiser investment than Mclaren at this point. |

Oscar's originally from Brighton so maybe his parents need a twelfth investment property? |

F2 is racing as well? Well that is pretty cool. Have the FIA actually decided to reward a race track that routinely draws large crowds? 420,000 last year. Possibly more this year. Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Saudi combined would take about 5 years to manage a single years attendance from Oz. |

LucasWheldon wrote: hope that they can bring F2 to other good venues like Interlagos and Montreal And Suzuka. I was already disappointed when W Series decided to go to Singapore last year. Suzuka is such a great track, but 3 hours of practice, 1-hour qualifying and 2-hour race is just not worth the money for the fans, when you compare what they get for European rounds or Melbourne this year. |

Going world wide is just going to make the junior categories even harder to achieve without massive money coming in. |

that's where Liberty should be investing the massive sums of their hard earned money through extorsion of arab oil tycoons and hosting races like the Chinese GP at Portimão |

Given in 2021 there was a big push to make F2/F3 affordable by having less rounds but more races per round, it's kinda odd they've just got the opposite direction with huge calendars and far flung races |

Unsure how it works down under, but I assumed all banks were more or less the same. Fixed, adjustable, etc. |

Unsure how it works down under, but I assumed all banks were more or less the same. Fixed, adjustable, etc. We chose a variable rate for a long time as when interest rates were low it was the far better deal and stayed that way for years. In the past year the cash rate in Australia has jumped from 0.10% to 3.6%, which it hasn't been at since 2012, with more interest rate increases expected up to maybe 4.2%, maybe higher. Had we fixed our rates a year ago we'd be in better position, but still paying significantly more than the outlook when we took on the mortgage. At the moment we're paying about $600 more per month, a 20% increase on our repayments. Combined with huge cost of living increases and us losing our childcare benefit as my older daughter turned 6, and something had to give. Unfortunately all the inflation and interest rate hikes have made this possibly the worst time to sell. |

That's really shit @ Philthy82 Had my house been finished being built on time (Jan/Feb 22), I would have had 1.89% fixed for 3 or maybe even 5 years. It was delayed by 6 months to July '22 and by the time it was finished, the fixed rate had jumped to 3.5% for 1 year, or 1.99% variable. I went with variable and now variable rate is now 5.49%, which adds $400 more per month. I live alone, so it's been a tough slog. I'm not chewing into savings, but I'm also not saving anything. My mortgage was supposed to be 28% of my wage, now its up around 46%. |

That's rough @ peterohanrahanrahan, hopefully it doesn't get much rougher. If Bernie was still around I'd like to think there would be a projection on the track, "BERNIE SAYS 'DON'T BASE YOUR MORTGAGE REPAYMENT CAPACITY ON RECORD LOW VARIABLE RATES'". |
