ECMWF shows 20% chance of missile showers for Sunday. Probably during podium ceremony, as usual.

Easy win for Verstappen unless his car fails

I don't mind this track. The high speed section looks spectacular in qualifying. Good chance of a random safety car to spice things up.

Now that I've said that, watch Max win a boring parade by 30 seconds.

I keep my impression that this track is the closest we have of a plate race in F1, too fast, too dangerous and quite prone for pile ups that could lead to a first time winner

but this one Max has in the bag

I don't understand how we are back here after that missile crisis last year. Drivers wanted to leave before the race. Yet afterwards, no words have been spoken about the incident and everyone is just fine to return there. Very weird.

I like the track though, probably the best street track on the calendar. But tense, every lap I'm fearing an Hubert style t-bone crash around one of its blind corners

I think Matt and Tommy summed it up pretty well, in that this circuit would probably have a lot more fans if if weren't situated in the country that it is. Imagine if this track had been built somewhere in Europe, for example. I've got a feeling it'd be hyped up a lot more then.

money talks as usual (or make drivers keep their mouth shut)

when Formula E went to Al Driyah a few years ago there were missiles being intercepted right above the track. Someone could think it was just fireworks, but it was the real deal

Running out of quota already in March? By the end of November they have had >15 grid penalties for sure.

Yeah, if Hamilton or Verstappen call it quits at the end of this season Norris and LeClerc will be willing to do literally anything for that seat.

Leclerc is damned to be the new Jean Alesi, a fast driver that chose to keep his career in Maranello hoping that the slump will be gone someday

and that day will never come

It's called street track but apart from the walls being close, I don't really see it like a street track. There aren't any road markings like Baku, Monaco, and Singapore, and no junction corners.

I honestly cant see him sign a new deal if they keep this up. Unless there are no other options.

is one of those gambles on development like they once did in Valencia. Built the roads after the track hoping to turn the shoreside a tourist attraction (or a new Monaco as is usually done in F1)

but this one has something other tracks don't have, that are missile strikes
