The 'right' right one, or 'wrong' wrong one?

Red Bull could have Nankang's off a Honda Civic fitted right now and romp to the championship.

Does anybody else do the F1 Fantasy Game?

I just made a team off the back of listening to a bunch of episodes of Box of Neutrals. It led to my team being on the podium for the Spanish GP in their league, and subsequently got some credit for my team's name (Inoue or Outie?) on the most recent episode. Quite happy with that :D

Yep, Kyalami scrapped because of South Africa's links with Russia, supposedly.

and probably the fact that the country is on the brink of collapse, my friend went back for his grand mothers birthday earlier this year and the power was off more than it was on, also had to pay a hefty bribe just to be let out of the country when coming back here.

So really, F1 would be at home there, but I suspect if the SA authorities decided to hold the drivers hostage like the Saudi’s threatened to, it might end quiet badly.

A GP in Africa should be more appropriate in Morocco GP at Portimão or perhaps a Tunisian GP at Enna Pergusa, given their proximity

Cracking podcast. I've known Rob and Michael for 10-15 years, they're awesome blokes.

I had a feeling I knew of/about one of those guys, but could never quite put my finger on it. Have either of them ever been members here on tbk? Cracking podcast indeed. It's got that quintessential Aussie vibe. You know, where it sounds like they're both talking through constant Ricciardo-esque grins :D

Rob designed the logo for TBK that's in the top left hand corner of the page, he was a member briefly way back in the early days.

If they refer to "a drunk F1 supporter I know" on the show, it's usually me. I co-hosted a few shows way back in the early days.

Very smoky in Canada and North America at the moment, wonder if that might affect the race, still a little way away.

Don´t take away Imola and Montreal in the same year please.

However... Just checked the website of Imola, no events are planned in the weekend of the 17th and 18th. Should Montreal be cancelled, a cheaper alternative would be to hold it in Imola then.

F1 says it'll be fine. Like they were thinking at Imola until just before the race https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/cana ... /10480297/

It's important from F1s point of view that they don't cancel the race, that way they can keep the sanctioning fee

If the race is cancelled it'll have to be on Montreal's end of things, after a big meeting to see if they can get away with paying for nothing to happen....

And also, safety concerns or something, but that's secondary these days.

Oh man, I used to live 45 minutes away from the track and in the lead up to the race (March/April) there were days when the air quality was so bad, visibility was below 100 meters from smog. The worst Air Quality reading I experienced was over 1000. A reading of over 250 is considered Dangerous. It was hideous. On a GOOD clear day the sky was a greyish blue.

If anyone has ever flown into Shanghai, more often than not you can actually see, and fly through, the layer of smog over the city when you come down to land. It is depressing as fuck.

Sorry you triggered me.

I'm sorry, I experienced that the first time I went to São Paulo for the GP after many years without traveling there. Thought weird that my town had a clearer sky and far pleasing golden hour on dusk

well, if F1 needs to make a decision on cancelling, should be quick since it is an overseas event and logistics is a nightmare

Well, if Andretti had no chance before, there isn't a hope in Hell they are getting in now.

I bet Stefano is the kind of guy that goes around telling everyone to invest all their money in Crypto, because it "won't ever go down" and is the "future". I have a friend that is like that. Badgered almost everyday about buying into Crypto. Was perplexed that I said no, I don't want to........And now he has lost all his money and doesn't even mention it anymore. Careful what you wish for Stefano.

and they used to call Briatore Don Corleone

I'd say they're a bunch of sissies. They're not like racing in Knockhill in march to need blankets
