It probably also needed labels saying "carefull, engine might be hot" and "do not approach moving car"

People think I only post negative things on this forum. So I'm posting the link that I normally post on the Modern F1 Pics thread. Which I created exactly to combat the negativity on the TBK Board.

What Ferrari's floor update path reveals about its F1 2023 priorities

More cool posts and pics here about the best part of modern F1, which is all the aero and mechanical development.

Lots of rain expected in Monaco. Another canceled weekend on the horizon?

Expected when? I'm not seeing anything. A few millimeters only, which is nothing. Still too early to say tho.

so Bottas is willing to bring the Sisukas GP to the PerkeleRing. How hard could that be?

Would it be fair to say that basically every team with the exception of Red Bull and Aston Martin is very disappointing this year and all took a step backwards?

Or would I be judging them too soon?

Fair call. McLaren have regressed big time, Alpha Tauri and Williams are just plodding along, Alpine keep face palming, Alfa Romeo has so far slid under the radar of mediocrity, Mercedes thought their shit didn't stink and Ferrari are well, just Ferrari.

So no. It is not a big call at all to say that the rest of the field have own goal'd and are making Red Bull look better than what they really are. It is a bit like Ferrari in 2002 and 2004. Great car made to look all the better because everybody else cocked up.

Had Colton Herta been granted a super license and thus got the AT drive - would he be doing any better than De Vries?

No way. The AT looks like a dog and De Vries has a lot more experience than Herta. I don't get the hype around him either, what does he have that guys like Newgarden, Palou, McLaughlin or Rosenqvist don't?

Can't argue with that.

It feels like after Mercedes and Ferrari all other teams form just a huge mass of backmarkers.

Herta was one of those subject to the Verstappen effect, the son of a 90's racer that appeared like a storm in Indycar at a very early age but is still yet to mature as a driver

The only thing I can think of is a last name with some tradition in the sport. Nothing else.

Post subject:  Re: 2023 Formula One Random Discussion Thread

There are 4 teams who take all the points every race, and the last points have to be divided by the 6 other teams, who cannot come close to the top.

It shows that after 5 races, the 5th best team has 14 points. Yes, all teams have scored points and that is quite unique, but they have to be happy with what is left. And that is thanks to the red flag farce in Australia, otherwise Alpine would have more points and the other 5 teams practically nothing.

So I don´t know if most teams went backwards. Ferrari obviously did, and Mercedes hoped they would be doing better but are the same level. It is simply Aston Martin who made a big jump, leaving the other teams fighting for crumbles.

that's what happens when cars must be reliable, it makes more difficult for the smaller outfits to get points

in other news, speculations say that Ferrari is willing to drop a shitload of money for Lewis to fulfill the red dream

Probably the one offer in F1 that has more than 0% chance of tempting Lewis these days.

Interesting (if very US biased) take on F1s popularity since Liberty's take over
