That wasnt done by Netflix however..... and iirc actual Queen members where involved in that one so that's on them too then.

In other news, Porsche apparently has shelved their F1 plans since they couldnt find a good path in after the RBR deal fell tru.
Maybe Indycar should give them a call??

What´s wrong with Bohemian Rhapsody? Kinda liked that movie. It was better than the Elton John movie.

they should make one about Huub Rothengatter, since he was the one fetched Jos to race in F1 later

I'm pretty sure they gonna ignore the fact that Senna used to date a 16 year old girl while he was already racing in F1

The reason Sacha Baron Cohen left was because the original script had Freddie in only the first half of it, and the 2nd half was the rest of the band moving on without freddie, IE just basically being an advert for their current tour.
Queen died with Freddie, I don't know what's touring around the world now with Adam Freaking Lambert, but that's not Queen

No wonder he left lol

Saying that, I get annoyed by the threads after films listing every single little thing that was different to reported real life, as if people expect things to be CCTV footage of the actual events
Of course it's spiced up for the entertainment value, otherwise you'd end up with films with this kinda of realism

From what I've read, this is only partially true.

Sacha Baron Cohen wanted to do a movie which showed the real band and what they really got up to in the 80s (parties with cocaine being brought around on midgets heads), but Queen wanted to protect their own image so they wanted it watered down, SBC walked away when the story became diluted.

I watched Netflix's golf version of drive to survive (Full Swing) and I loved it. I'm not a huge golf nerd (I play it socially, but I don't watch professional golf at all) and while watching it I was like 'I'm sure this is like DTS, probably inaccurate or edited to make shit up' but if you take it on face value it's very entertaining.

This is what I read, too. The finished film really didn't seem sure how to handle his sexuality, and kinda ended up going with the 80s stereotypes, especially the way Paul Prenter was some kind of temptation figure. It's very weird, but I reckon it comes down to Brian and Roger not really understanding a part of his life that he kept quite private. I think Baron Cohen could have done a really good job with that, but you get the impression they didn't want to add nuance to something that looks seedy on the outside. Kinda ironic, when you consider that they both enjoyed his birthday parties!

Anyway, back on topic - no way will Netflix be allowed by the family to portray his more questionable choices. There was none of that in the actual documentary film, so I'm sure this will be super-glossy. Suzuka '90 will be Prost's fault

To be replaced by three technical directors each responsible for their own fiefdom, one of whom won't start for another 9 months. This will end well.

I guess is better for McLaren to outsource their whole F1 operation for someone who could actually do something

or start to drop away other series and focus in F1 only

We all have, tbf

I wouldn't put it past even Red Bull to not bother developing this year's car and start working on 2024

Yeah, they might lose a few races to AM at the tail end of the season when the title has already been won, but that's about the only consequence

Unless Max suddenly gets his head out of his own ass AM will win sooner (assuming AM wont screw over Alonso even sooner).

Perez seems to like the 2023 much better than the 2022 car and might be able to challenge Max enough for Max to do a Barcelona 2016 on himself and Perez.

Yes. The US needs a 4th GP. Best time to hold it would be between the Belgian and Dutch GP.
