Nikita Mazepin and his lawyers are attempting to overturn sanctions imposed by the UK, EU, Canada, in an effort to resurrect his racing career. He must be under the impression that F1 teams are itching to secure his services...

Quote:
Nikita Mazepin, 24, is now trying to overturn the British sanctions so he can negotiate with Formula One teams to return to the sport in 2024.
Britain imposed an asset freeze and travel ban on Mazepin, which his lawyers told London's High Court on Wednesday was preventing him from negotiating with teams.
His lawyer Rachel Scott said Mazepin wanted his challenge heard as a matter of "urgency" because of the need to develop a relationship with team staff before the 2024 season if he is offered a contract.
Mazepin is also challenging EU and Canadian sanctions as part of his attempt to return to Formula One.

If any team is that desperate for his money I will seriously worry about the future of F1.

They should have their entry revoked for not being serious about it. :whistling:

Only new team that would take him will be Putin F1.

Team Gazprom.
Finishes 2 laps down, goes to the podium anyway, pushes winning driver away and says "this is my place now!"

I'm also hearing the car will be entered as an 11th team (probably to circumvent rules) and is designed by Mercedes.
Not sure if that means it will just be a Merc car or if they actually design and build a unique car. If the latter, thats a nice way to make sure they stay within budget. :whistling:

Will they have to pay $200M entry fees too?

The king of ass clowns has spoken.

Quote:
ALPINE CEO MAKES SZAFNAUER DEMAND AND THREATENS CHANGES

https://the-race.com/formula-1/alpine-c ... s-changes/

And then watching his second in ass clown squirm and try to deflect blame else where is glorious.

Quote:
“The hardest thing to do in Formula 1 is make sure the car has ultimate performance. That doesn’t happen here. There’s 100 people here, there’s 1000 back at base, 900 are working on performance and of this 100 only half work on extracting performance.

“The lion’s share of the work for car performance is at Enstone and Viry, this here [at the track] is just making sure we don’t make mistakes, there are no engine fires, don’t have wrong set-ups in a race where you only have one hour of practice.”

Sucks to be thrown under the bus in public doesn't it Otmar. At least Otmar can respond. Piastri couldn't last year while those two dipshits carried on and on trying to tarnish his reputation at every turn.

Rossi can thrown anyone under the bus, but this team has always been a mess. The saying goes that when you point a finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing at yourself.

Alpine also releasing a show car that appears to be a bit like an electric Fiat 500. I guess they need money by going into more profitable areas than sports cars https://www.alpine-cars.co.uk/dream-gar ... -beta.html

Its not a Fiat 500 but a Renault Twingo. Which, in its latest form, does look eerily similar to the Fiat 500.

Also, the latest one is only available as electric so its basically a rebadge.

Apparently Marko has already given De Vries the hurry up, Ricciardo is pouncing.

AlphaTauri calling Ricciardo for a seat-fit means they turned up the heat for de Fries.

thought it was more like the spiritual successor of the Renault 5, that one they took the front engine and slapped a new turbocharged one in the middle so it could properly win rallies against cars like the Audi Sport Quattro

and this beauty
