Ferrari fast over 1 lap. LeClerc gets his revenge for the last few races but Max comes in 2nd. Russell ahead of Lewis who ordered a crane to be lifted out of the car after complaining in lap 5 about his back but still finishes.

So wonderful and refreshing to see F1 return to Canada. Montreal and Suzuka has been the two tracks I've missed the most since Covid. It's weird to think that many drivers have never driven here, because 3 years is a long time in F1 circus. So it will be a special GP for Mick, Tsunoda, Latifi and Zhou.

For some reason I get nostalgic just watching the cars here. Maybe because Canadian GP 2005 was the first race after buying myself a capture card. Still have some screengrabs I posted on old TBK forum during the qualifying session. Good times.

So yeah. I don't care whether the race is going to be boring or not, or whether it rains or not. FPs and qualifying are enough entertainment for me.

God that penalty for Vettel was ridiculous and ruined the lead battle. The history of F1 would've been a gigantic farce, if the stewards were half as stupidly intrusive as they've been here.

Watching those pictures: they should re-narrow the track at turn 1 and gravel that pit to remove any escape possibility. It's not Canada if 3-4 cars haven't been eliminated by turn 5 of lap 1. Yes I'm childish like that and I like my carbon fiber served crumbled please thanks.

Apparently LeClerc was 1 Turbo Charger away from a grid penalty so hopefully for him it can be salvaged otherwise he's facing a grid penalty this weekend.

this is one of the tracks for engine penalties as SC and fast flow are helping hands to those with fresh equipment

Canada's chaotic vibe suggest me that we'll see George's first F1 win this weekend

admittedly a hamilton fan, but vettel brought that penalty on himself. not only did he let himself get pressured into a mistake, he intentionally squeezed hamilton into the wall when he rejoined the track. it's the same offense he committed in monza 2019 when he clipped stroll, lewis was just smart enough to back out and avoid contact rather than end up with a dnf. is it a shame it affected the championship? sure. but the mistakes were vettel's, not the stewards

9,000km and a bunch of time zones in only a week :8:

who came up with this awful schedule, should have put Miami and Montreal together and Baku after Melbourne coming back to Europe

Yea, having Baku and Canada back to back seems cruel

Miami during this time of year is quite a storm magnet, which could cancel the race outright. Something not that bad considering is Liberty who's promoting that farce

I think "rational" calendar would be like this:

Melbourne 10 April
Baku 24 April
Miami 8 May
Montréal 15 May
Monaco 29 May
Imola/Red Bull Ring etc. ->

Or if they do back-to-back races, then Imola could be squeezed in before Monaco.

Barcelona should be final European round in late September before Singapore/Suzuka.
