Circuit de Monaco, Monte Carlo Last year's race Polesitter Leclerc had an issue that led him to a DNS, Bottas had the longest pit stop in history and Verstappen manged to win a fairly boring race Season standings after round 6 Code: DRIVERS Timetables all times are local (GMT+2) Code: THURSDAY 26th MAY Local time it might be boring but is Monaco, traditions |

The only race in the season that is allowed to be boring, because the Monaco-factor does something that no other track will ever be able to recreate. |

it also helps to lower our expectations for the main event later on |

True that, it´s just a warm up for the real race later that day. |

Yeah, pre Indy 500 nap. But then there's BTCC at Thruxton so F1 takes a back seat any way. |

I still love watching the cars around here; especially in qualifying. The races could be more interesting if the tyres would fall off like they used to. Or if it rains... 2008 was fun to watch. |

FREG will be probably better than F1 |

Is this finally going to be the year for Leclerc at Monaco? Going to be more pressure on him than ever to deliver at least a podium here. |

Some models predict significant rain for Sunday, but it's only Monday so the forecast can change multiple times. https://www.yr.no/en/forecast/daily-tab ... te%20Carlo Say what you will, but I love Monaco. Just watching cars running on those narrow streets that don't meet any modern FIA grade 1 requirements is awesome. No other track is like Monaco. Even Baku, which has its share of narrow parts, has also very wide sections. I will be very sad if Liberty Media decides to remove Monaco from the calendar in favor of more Sochi/Yeddah clone-circuits. Yeah, Sundays tend to suck. But like I have previously said, Monaco is better for qualifying than racing. During Free Practice and Qualifying sessions drivers find their limits, and it's great to see who can get the last millisecond by just touching the guardrail without crashing. In the race they drive more conservatively, so while we might have 3-4 crashes during the qualifying, in the race we probably see none. In fact, I'd scrap the race altogether and replace it with a 2-hour special single-car qualifying session with 3 laps for each. Yeah, looking forward to the weekend. This time it's also nice to spot familiar places from a TV coverage, after being there personally last October. |

None of the other street circuits can reproduce that Monaco feel. It is just something unique. |

I'd say is one of the fewest places in the world who can brag that guys like Fangio, Ascari, Clark, Lauda, Villeneuve and Senna oncle blazed by their streets at high speed in a given time in history |

Man, that fake harbor they built for Monaco looks so much better than Miami's; you'd almost think it was a legit permanent setup. (Gotta take points off for the lack of a Walmart, though) |

Monaco has been losing a bit of personality in the past years after they started doind land reclamation and building before and after the tunnel |
