I'd wear shots if it's 25°C at midnight.

As long as they the sponsors top on who cares what they wear.

And the overalls will be sweaty and gross.

Pretty good race at the end. I like that the overtaken driver has a better chance of staying in DRS range, to fight back on the next lap. More of this, please.

quite a thrill, kudos to F1TV broadcast for splitting the screen to show other battles in the track. And commentary is way better than Sky
Yes, f1live is a good feed. However I would prefer they go split screen when they show a replay, and continue the live coverage in the other box. Now we saw some passes in splitscreen, and then again in full screen the replay. If they go splitscreen then, we miss nothing.

Good race, hope this continues all season.

Those shorts are a sad indictment of modern F1. Hunt would have shown respect to the interviewer with an evening jacket and suitable hat

Last year I cheered a bit for Max because I didn't want another title for Lewis. I'm relieved I don't have to cheer for him on mere convenience. Max is the perfect driver to hate.

Albon gets a 3-place grid penalty for Melbourne after the Stroll collision.

at least Max doesn't care if he's hated or not

is not like someone who claims it has no tires and goes on setting fast laps, trying to get some pity from those who doesn't want to see them win, and in turn get even more hated

Huh? I don't want that to happen.

Weird.

Really excellent race! Lots of racing and passing! I really dig this track, shame about the country it's in

Luxury!

Stirling Moss would've done the interviews in a suit of armour whilst on fire!

Good race, somehow it didn't quite live up to the craziness expected (though that's probably a good thing) but I guess it's good to know you can have a more standard race here than just a batshit crash and SC fest (which is obviously what the FIA assumed would happen given how little laps they scheduled and how relatively early it finished)
IF they come back here (Big If) expect them maybe to increase the race distance by 10 laps or so...

I'm all for F1 races getting more and more exciting towards the end though

Can do without Max whining "HE CROSSED THE LINE! He gained on me in the yellow!" (Yeah Max, and you gained nearly 2 seconds on him in the VSC so you can shut right up)

But then that just means that the FOM radio guy has switched to Painting Max as the bad guy this year and will air only the frustrated/angry/pissed off things Max says while under pressure while making Leclerc seem calm and level headed......nothing ever changes but the protagonist involved

Lewis' weekend felt like Merc throwing everything at his car to see if they could make something stick
I'd wager Russell has the baseline setup and they went more extreme with Lewis, which went badly in qualy and forced them into an extreme strategy in the race. Which also backfired badly
The Pit lane opening/VSC ending just the moment he passed the end of the pitlane, no-one else can be that unlucky
Well, except Perez eh

I bet Merc won't try fiddling with anything on their car at Melbourne and just accept their 5th and 6th if they have a good day and put all their efforts into the Imola updates.

Also I hope the drivers don't see as much glare on their helmets as the helmet cameras got when they cut to them, they made the new cameras almost unwatchable for me....

As far as I know, the races have the distance of 300 Km + 1 lap, with the exceptions of Monaco and Spa. So, adding 20% more of race distance looks like a huge deal. But who knows? This race has such a "THIS IS F1'S DEGA!!!1111" vibes that anything is possible

Gosh, you know there mustn't be much to complain about if we're talking Lewis' shorts :slaphead:

His haters will complain about anything to seemingly justify their own hatred of him.
