Thank fuck. I also see tyre blankets will be banned from 2024 onwards. pretty intrigued by the flow on effects of that and how Pirelli will need to alter the design of the tyres, if at all. Harder sidewalls to cope with lower pressures on the outlap or will teams need to find a sweet spot at higher operating pressures than currently? Will also be interesting from a strategy point of view given the length of time it will take drivers to get up to speed as they bring tyres in and how that affects under/over cuts. Will increase the onus on the drivers ability on non ideal pressures which will be a good thing. |

ELECTRIC tyre warmers will be banned. Watch teams developping a system that generates heat by petrol |

Ah yeah, good old ecologic petrol. Fits well with ecologic Canada in the middle of European season I wonder how the car would look if there was still refueling allowed |

I can somehow see the FIA doing FIA things and think by banning tyre blankets, they are banning tyre warmers, only for them to not actually write the rules correctly. And a team comes up with tyre warming boxes! |

And a team comes up with tyre warming boxes! Haven't we seen this all play out exactly like this before? This scenario seems oddly familiar.

yes, there was. Back when McLaren started the F-duct, Mercedes reached out and built their own in a very complicated manner where the air entered behind and flowed into the front wing of course FIA got fed up with those ducts and banned it all there was also Red Bull playing with camera mounts on the front wing |
