Once the lapped cars overtake, shouldn't they wait that they go back to the queue? It seems like they just let them go and restarted right away? I remember from the past situtations when they didn't wait for them to unlap 100% Then Mercedes probably don't have a leg to stand on. |

You'll pass him with the better tyres. And if he crashes you off, he'll lose the points. And if the SC stays out until the end of the race, Lewis loses. |

Kinda messed up for race control to say one thing and do another but I don’t see any reason why the result should change unless there’s some clearly documented rule/regulation that wasn’t followed. Good on the two drivers at long last finally racing it out cleanly. I was convinced we were about to see something awful happen. |

Sergio wrote: Lewis Just had to pit simple as that 2 chances. Lewis Lost championship in the last lap. What a finnish hahah The second time he ran the risk of finishing second under SC. Also a red could've been thrown and he would get free tyres. They made the right call, in all cases, the leader doesn't get advantage in these situations. The first VSC is more questionable though |

They weren't near the pit lane and if they had have pitted and the SC stayed out, they just handed the title to Max Don't forget how staying out gained Max a free tyre change in the last race with another crash that didn't need to be a red flag. Could've happened today so whatever Merc did they were screwed The main issue was the FIA suddenly capitulating to Red Bulls radio whining and moving 4 cars out of his way (but not any lapped cars behind him of course) Masi will not be in his job come the first race in 2022 |

Max deserved the WDC, but not this way... This is utter b**lshit... I was fearing before race that WDC is selected by stewards decision and not by driving. And until last laps i was accepting Hamilton's WDC eventhough that wouldn't be what i wanted, but it would come fairly. Now this circus with Masi and stewards decided to give Max a change with new medium tyres vs. old hards of Lewis and everyone knew what was gonna happen. |

Mercedes shat the bed with strategy, then the FIA dumped the whole toilet over them. |

With the 14s lead I already said Lewis should put for reds. Would have won it all for him with his pace |

Eh, that's possible, but I'm confident Masi did ascertain whether or not the marshals could clear Latifi's car with enough time to restart. Whatever you think of him, he absolutely would not have wanted this to end under SC. EDIT: As Micha points out, he had a time margin that should have seen him out in 1st regardless. |

No point in protesting the result. You can't change the race result anyway. Too bad. Fair is fair. |

When it all came down to the wire, they both managed not to launch each other into orbit. At least we're 'only' arguing over Masi's decisions |
