so... now that the race is over, could we point out that Lewis tried something quite similar to what happened in Melbourne in 2009?

Just bring back gravel trap and all that shit will be gone.

Abu Dhabi is a parking lot and I'm sure we won't know the champion at the end of the race. It will take 1 or 2 months for the FIA to sort the final standings.

Lewis: "It's difficult to fight a driver who doesn't follow the same rulebook"

Melbourne 2009 all over again, lying to the stewards, playing the victim

Already used in the F2 thread, but just as valid here:

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Crazy race, never see anything like it so far. But i have 1 question, when Mick crashed SC came out and Mercs decided to stop Lewis and then Bottas. Bottas was about max 2sec behind Lewis and then Bottas then slowed massivly down to slow down Max and Lewis has some free time. Where is the 10 car lenghts rule? Like Vettel got in Hungary 2010. The stewards didnt even notice that or is this allowed to slow down the cars behind so the car in front has a bit of free time in pitstop?
Can someone explain that to me

I think Red Bull had the same question tbh. I think 2021 has treated us to pretty much every single grey area the rule book has to offer

It was a Mercedes, so automatic no investigation or penalty. Mercedes should have had a dozen of penalties this weekend for both cars

One thing that does make me sad is the DRS. So many easy passes. It's just about coming into the 1 sec gap and you have the place if it's not Monaco.
So many times this season it was obvious that it's just matter of time until the car behind will swerve past on a straight. Max is driving this car on and over the limit, he gets his elbows out and goes agressive and defensive because by being calm and letting by doesn't leave the change to win against a machine like Merc and a driver like Lewis.

Lewis is apparently admitting that he chose to stay behind Max because of the DRS activation. So he knew what Max was doing and that, therefore, he knew that Max was not attempting to brake test him.

So 20s penalty at least

Few years ago max lost pole because he admitted in an interview he didn’t slow down for yellow

This may also be a good time to point out that if Hamilton receives one more reprimand, he will automatically be dropped 10 places on the grid next week.

I also belive not all rules are the same for everyone
For me Bottas should have got a penalty there, if i remember correctly Fisichella did that in china 2005 i think.
He bunched up at least 5 cars on pit entry and got penalty for that, so that Kimi couldnt overtake Alonso....

Not slowing for yellows is an offence. Choosing not to overtake another car is not an offence.

Hitting another car is however

so if they don't issue a penalty FIA is automatically admiting they cannot run the sport

and I'm quite sure they'll do nothing, because that's what they do when they're on thin ice

Yes, although they will have to prove that Lewis was not paying sufficient attention.

Lewis should have got penalties from practice, ignoring yellow flag and standing in the way of Mazepin, he almost crashed into him.
If there wasnt that bit of room like it was im sure the Merc mechanics woulnt be able to repair the car in time for QLF and he would have started last.
But still no penalties for those two incidents, Max ignores in Quatar yellow flags -BANG 3 places down on grid, not fair.
