They´re gonna blame Ricciardo for this one, but he couldn´t disappear and the car in front (Bottas) could have checked before taking the apex as if it wasn´t the first lap with 17 other drivers breathing in his neck.

They always blame the car behind.

close the door and risk contact, or leave some space, lose 0,01s and continue? Bottas is now 18th.

Basically yeah. He isn’t to blame for it but didn’t have to cut in so sharp either. Could be #3 atm

Have to it’s great the director is showing the midfield battles instead of just showing max drive into the distance.

Bottas has made no progress since the restart, so presumably that car is not completely healthy.

True, Hamilton also had problems with passing other cars this season, but at least he found a way to make it work.

Bottas is fast on one lap, and if he doesn´t ruin his start (which he often does) and can convert his pole into a lead, and he can do one fast lap after the other, then he´s gone and he wins. In on track battles, he is terrible.

It's always wise to leave space especially if you're crossing the track all the way from the outside at turn1. He'd still be carrying extra speed and given the corners after, not really be under attack.

Cemetaries are full of people who had the right of way
