Yep, xpert F1 opinion was handing the whole championship to Lewis based on Friday running

Red Bull are here able to gang up 2x1 on Lewis tomorrow on a track that was seen as a Mercedes stronghold when Red Bull were expected to be stronger at the tracks favouring high downforce and high altitude to come
Oh, and Lewis has to change an engine lololol

Gotta love the percieved opinions in F1.

I guess 7-8 years of Merc dominance gets you a tad jaded/pessimistic

Seemed that Mercedes didn't favoured sector 1 and that pretty much gave more confidence to Red Bull

Don't want to be a bitch but... Track limits. If FIA want this stupid rule, they need to enforce it 100% and cancel this lap.

On the start of the qualy session, Martin Brundle said that turns 9 and 19 has electronic track limit. For turn 6, drivers asked for limitations there, but the edge would be the kerb, not the white line, as just about everyone was doing it like that.

My xpert opinion is only pointing out the fallacy of other people's xpert opinion so I am immune from criticism obv :whistling:

talking about you experience commentary, I can see that Mercedes will have a walk in the park after the pit stops. An easy win for Hamilton as their performance increases on harder tires

In fairness it wasn't just Friday running, they've looked quicker for a while. Quicker in Monza but lost the win with Bottas' engine penalty and Hamilton's bad start, quicker in Sochi, quicker in Istanbul (in the rain, when you'd have expected Verstappen to beat Bottas), then they turn up here and go a lot quicker on Friday with what seems to be an updated/perfected system of lowering the car on the straights. Combine that with the feeling a lot of people have - that Mercedes not winning is too good to be true - and you can't blame them for thinking Mercedes were about to walk away with it

They got Gasly's car to start so should be okay.

Now watch him break down...

Sky are hyping up contact at turn 1 so much that if they don't hit they'll probably be so despondant they'll call it a shit race just cos their adrenaline levels will crash and everything after that will seem dull to them
The only thing that'll crash will be their adrenaline levels though

Lewis passing max on the pace lap. Based on the 1994 British GP that’s a penalty :whistling:

Glad to see Sergio having a decent weekend. Hope he can challenge Lewis at the start and give Red Bull a chance (assuming Mercedes have superior race pace).
