Gosh I love watching the cars go through those fast sweepers, it really reminds me of Maggots/Becketts etc. at Silverstone

Looks like a great atmosphere at the track too!

Shhhhh! You must only post negative things about the track here!

But how good is it seeing the stands absolutely packed!

It looks amazing tbh. Great to see F1 doing so well over there

I just feel embarrassed like as an F1 fan for how shit they sound for all the new American fans seeing it live for the first time

Lol I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that. I find myself thinking "I wish you could have seen this 8 years ago"

Like I feel F1 is finally cracking the US market, and you don't want it to get stuffed up by things like that

Race cars are never going to sound any louder so I guess we all just have to get over it at some point

*Edit* Also 90% of people are going to be casual fans just there for the experience and dont' give any kind of shit what it used to sound like in 1991, they're having enough fun at the spectacle of the cars darting around the track like fighter planes, so whose to say they're wrong and us bitter old F1 fans are right?

No, you're right, it's the children that are wrong ;)

On the plus side a lot of the new (Drive to Survive) fans don't know what they're missing. Would be a much easier sell with the old engines though

Pleasantly surprised by that. Thought it was a guaranteed Merc 1-2

Yep, xpert F1 opinion was handing the whole championship to Lewis based on Friday running

Red Bull are here able to gang up 2x1 on Lewis tomorrow on a track that was seen as a Mercedes stronghold when Red Bull were expected to be stronger at the tracks favouring high downforce and high altitude to come
Oh, and Lewis has to change an engine lololol

Gotta love the percieved opinions in F1.
