I was confused what that FIA Formula 4 feeder class is supposed to be, but it's Formula 4 United States Championship. Never heard of it. And I doubt it'll be shown by Sky. Tells a lot about the series that only 1 driver out of 37 has an existing Wikipedia article while every driver in FIA F3 has an article written about them.

Never been a fan of COTA. I mean, it's not the worst Tilkedrome for sure, but just the fact there are at least a dozen great old-school circuits in America and instead of trying any them F1 decided to built a new one. If they can race at Zandvoort nowadays with minimal changes, they surely can race at Laguna Seca, Road America or Mid-Ohio without destroying them. But enough of that rant.

GFS model currently predicts some thunder showers for Sunday. This season has been so wet, that I don't think we need 110% chance for rain anymore. Even less than 80% chance seems to be enough this year.

COTA sucks imho. Can't remember a single good race from there from any series ever. There are so many good tracks in the USA where F1 would be awesome. Watkins Glen, Road America, Road Atlanta, VIR, Laguna, hell even Sebring. I guess they'd have to invest a ton of money into changing/updating the tracks for safety reasons, but come on they've got the ability.

There was one good COTA race and I don't want F1/FIA butchering those tracks. Especially Sebring and Elkhart Lake. You know they'll have the bumps flattened out.

VIR wouldn't suit F1 and people bitch about a lack of passing at Laguna Seca in Indycar so imagine the even less likely chances of passing that F1 would bring.

I don't see F1 cars handling the corkscrew at Laguna anyway. Not to mention the speeds they'd be carrying into the corkscrew would be insane. They'd need to completely remove the wall and move it back hundreds of feet for safety reasons.

Yeah, unless they overhaul that area and really butcher the track.

Mind you on Watkins Glens side, at least it already has plenty of trackside car parking spots, but is there enough runoff in The Boot section?

Yep I agree. Even MotoGP was boring as fuck there.

well, we might try to guess the gap Hamilton will put over other cars in qualifying and race

plus qualifying there is quite late, will be on saturday night on Europe

They need to know what's the only thing that'd work in the US of A.

Ovals.

The excitement for this race disappeared the day Max turned 21. Always was curious how they would have reacted to that since 21 is the legal drinking age. Would likely still be an anticlimax if it happened but hey.

Not roval. Oval.

I'm thinking Milwaukee or any oval where they have to lift/brake

Fittipaldi Speedway (Rio) is still the best ever.

Oh, oh, I know!

um.......

COTA looks like a big-chinned man in sunglasses with a knife for a head yelling loudly.

(Yes, I suck at MSPaint. Yes, this is quite immature. So sue me.)

Here we go again, the COTA hate is taking centre stage. Meanwhile people have a love affair with Baku.

Baku has character, and excitement. This track doesn't have either. It's bland, boring and watching the cars drive around here is a chore. The race can be exciting, and last year's had a pass for the win in the final laps, but the whole thing just looks and feels like a chore to me, compared to more than half the rest of the calendar.
